But i mean is that like a coincidence, you order yiur notes and voila 2 wks later the visa is ready to be issued?

I order notes every 30 days.... No PPR.. so I'd say no lol.

I feel your pain. You see in my case i want to take some time off from work, so that i can go see my wife, but what if when i come back i get that visa request email? I would feel so bad spending all of this money not knowing that if i had waited just another month, i would have saved all of this money. It sucks i cant go back till the visa is approved. If only we had an idea so that we can prepare.

Makes perfect sense.. The system is completely biased towards western first world applicants from developed countries.

Especially when western first world countries are visa-exempt so can spend their usually very short wait together in Canada. Totally biased.

So what do you suggest? I stayed with her last sept and oct and came back in march. Till now we havent seen each other. Im scare if i go back in oct, i may come back with a ppr in my email. And this point i wouldnt be ready to welcome her since i would have spent lots of $$$.

PPR will go to her email unless you are her representative.

I completely understand your predicament as I'm in the same boat.

I'm putting off my vacation waiting for ppr, but I plan to go get her and bring her back and if it doesn't come soon I'll just go visit.

actually she doesnt have an email, i get all the correspondence.

Me 2, i'm putting off my vacation so that when the visa is ready i can go there and bring her back here. My plan is to stay there for like a week and then bring her back here so that i can show here around a bit you know before going back to work.

I'm curious, what's your definition of soon?

this process must be taking its toll on you, not to mention the 80hrs you work per week. These VO officers have no idea what is it like to be taken away from the your spouse, especially when a kid is involved. Dont worry my friend, you will fly before you know it. God WILLING. Especially nowadays time flies so fast.

I have the same date of file transfer 30 September 2015, to LVO except 23rd july 2015 is date of application submission. I think we have the same visa officer. I have read the whole status of yours, same as mine. Let's see what happend. I am also in process.

i got an email from the colombo VO on the first week of july requesting for some additional documents, and I submitted them within a week. no any update since then! Ecas shows the 4th line as,
We sent you correspondence on xxxxxxxx. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
so, how long will it take for me to get my PPR? this waiting is very hard! my hubby wants to come to sri lanka, but what if i get my visa soon after he returns?

all i can say is wait, you're alsmost there. dont make your spouse come over when the process is almost finished. I mean like you said, if he comes, and next week voila the visa ready to be issued. how would he feel having spend all that money, not that money is more important than you, but you get me right?

Also if you dont mind, what kind of documents did they ask you to provide 8months after you filed? That's weird to wait that long for a document request.

I just ordered my notes (first time btw), and i wasnt ask to pay anything. I just got an email saying to wait for 31 days before sending any inquires about my request. Is it normal that they didnt ask me to pay the 5$?
