OLD IN PROCESS VS NEW IN PROCESS ON ECAS EXPLAINED

Eagle333, this is what I see on ECAS under the PR section:

Permanent Residence

• We received X's application for permanent residence on December 2, 2015.
• We started processing X's application on February 10, 2016.
• Medical results have been received.

Does this mean there will not be an interview for the PA?

Acording what i,ve reading here, its mean you passed eligibility so theres a good oportunity of not havin the
interview, thats ocurding to what i have been reading here, good luck.

yeah that's what i've read as well. i ordered my gcms notes so i can confirm whether or not this really does mean PA eligibility has been passed. i know it'll take 30 days for the notes to get here and that it's too early to order notes, but i don't care. maybe the info i get from this will help put others at ease.

First of all about the third line MEDICAL RECEIVED is only info that they received your medical it means they start working on your eligbility. at this point they are now working PR file from start they might ask you more documents or interview after eligbility they start background and security checks.i am so SORRY to say that third line does not mean you pass the eligbility and waive the interview.when i saw third line added on my ecase i was in the same position like you but after 1 month they ask me new photos (previose was not in the spesific standard) and then almost after one and half month they doubt on my relationship and ask me more proofs that proves my relationship is genuine which i send on dec-15 till now i am waiting for DM and ppr.in this whole process third line was still there.pray for all THANKS

The NEW IN PROCESS has replaced the old status called APPLICATION RECEIEVED if it says:

IN PROCESS: We have received JON DOE's Permanent Residence Application on 01.01.2000
Medical Results have been received

This way you are not off of the interview's hook yet, they just update your Ecas with those 2 lines they will only show the date they started processing your file when Eligibility passes and background checks have then begun. You will mostly likely see the third line after months and months when your file has matured for PPR and ready for a decision. Hopefully this helped

Does this mean there will not be an interview and that eligibily passed?

i Dont think the medical line is and indication of something very important.
as i have seen in most of the cases that the medical line appears after your file is transfered to the VO and the officer has started working on the file but in my case i am still waiting for the SA and my file isnt transfered to the visa office yet but i can see the medical line..this doesnt mean that i have passed the eligibility.
my ecas status shows:
Sponsored Person Sponsorship Application Status Permanent Residence Application Status
XYZ In Process Application Received

And in PR status it shows:

1)We received XVZ's application for permanent residence on December 30, 2015.
2)Medical results have been received.

Could you please help me. I wrote MVO about 3 weeks ago and asked them where my spouse and I are in the process. They replied a week later saying "your application is under officer's review". What does this mean?

Could you please clarify this for me.
