Ugh, this is really frustrating. Why does it take them so long to do the completion check?!

I really hope you will receive your Acknowledgement Of Receipt soon. But this situation kind of makes me feel that I will receive mine only in February.

Yes. It completely is frustrating. They have not yet updated on their site or on FB about the quote being reached this year. So I assume you are a part of this year's quota. Besides a simple mail saying your documents are complete would have been such a relief. But I guess we have to abide by their rules.

I hope now with the new government set it I hope the CIC would take lesser time when we would forward our application to them.

Did you heard about the refugees coming! I hope they give us a lesser wait time too.

Yeah, I also have high expectations towards the new government.

Regarding quotas, I think if we do not receive our nomination before they reach this year's quota, we'll be part of next year's quota.

You know what its so peaceful talking to somebody in the same boat. You feel you are not alone.

In regard to your recent reply I think we should be well in this year's quota.

Yeah, it is peaceful :) Let's just hope that our applications are complete. And that other members of this forum will share their experience too. It does help when you know what other applicants in our stream are facing with.

Hi 12!

Thank you for sharing this info. I hope we will hear from them before December...

Thanks I2 . It seems they are reiterating the same thing over and over again. Anybody applied before me here? If so please keep us posted in this month as I expect some activity from their side in this month. It will be 69 days for me in waiting on the 30 Nov.

I am so much keeping my fingers to get something from them before Dec starts. I wonder why do they not work in Jan and Dec. Does anybody know?

Good Morning friends. How are you feeling today.

Did you guys also apply for the work permit? If yes when and what do you expect to be the time of the permit that would be issued to you?

I applied two days ago, the current processing time is 116 days. further, there is a good forum that discuss the PGWP issues. check my posts from my profile.

Hi All,

I applied for PGWP on October 20.
Parvi, I did a 1year program, so I expect it to be for 1 year starting from the date of its issue.

Now Laura Dizzy I don't want to give you high hopes but I also did a one year MBA program. Now some of my friends from the last year who did the same program got a 3 year work permit (good news on Friday the 13th to you if you don't know already). You never know you might be the lucky one. And it does not happen to just a guy or two but a lot of people I know from my university in the same program.

Thanks for sharing the link I2. Really helpful. One question I have for you I2. My work permit is expiring on this 30th. I understand since I have applied for the work permit I am still legal here right and so is my wife who has applied for her visitor visa extension?
