Hello everyone,

I am so much worried now.

I received 2 calls in a row from OINP to confirm my old employment.
I changed my job this year after submitting my application.

They asked additional documents to prove my previous job duties and pay slips.
Today, A gentleman called and asked questions regarding old job and duties.

I am so worried why they are doing so, when i provide them all the documents.

I came with some additional document requirement which are very strange.

The req. are stated below.

1. "If you not employed, please provide information/ documentation in support of your intention to reside in Ontario such as evidence of Ontario Labour Market Research, employment prospects for jobs related to your experience, job search/leads, any communications with employers in Ontario with potential job offers/ opportunities related to your professional background and experience."

2. Evidence of recent job search and/employment in Ontario

What should be need to show them in this case? I applied to some of the company through Job bank and I did not get any reply. Right now, I am unemployed.

Please help me on this.

Hello everyone

The scan I sent for additional docs required was black and white.it was not a colored scan as my scanner does not scan in color.


Is that ok ?

Color scan would have been a better option. It will clearly show the stamps and color of signature ink of bank officer. You can go to a powder copy shop and scan your documents from there and send the documents once again.

My scan was cyrstal clear.I am consulting few others .I have still 1 week left with me.I will definitely consider sending colored scan if required .

so my profile is expiring tomorrow and still my representative did not update... should i worry because what if i receive my nomination and my profile is already expired? can i transfer the points later on ?

your apllication indicates you live in alberta, and you also have applied under alberta nominee program.

details of your visit to ontario including dates and purpose

job search effort/ job search log indicating dates, employer names,positions and any employer responses, including potential job offers in ontario

confirmation if you own or rent a property in alberta or any other province, if yes please provide lease agreement or property ownership

additional information or doc to support your intent to reside in ontario



but i dont have any of the above. and i also got my alberta nomination recently but i havnt excepted it yet

please suggest what should I do as My first priority is ontario.

Accept Alberta nomination and proceed with PR process. It would be easier for you and would release one nomination from Ontario for someone needy. Also resources from OINP can process documents of other candidates

Accept Alberta and finish the federal part. That way you will be done faster. There is no where written in stone that you have to stay there at all cost. If you cannot support yourself there well in the future you can still move. When it comes to Ontario, as they see your ties to Alberta, they might even reject you.
