talked to the OINP operator.
Important Information :

please do not send mail asking for status updates, they get too confused as they expect additional documents response from us applicants.
It's an overhead on them to go through mails when majority of mails are just dtatus updates.
Please call them and not email for usual status updates.

I called OINP today at 416-327-0374 and 1 and 0 to speak to an operator. After about a 30-45 sec. pause I am asked to enter a 10 digit extension or the person I am trying to reach. How did you get through to an operator? Please help me with extension.

Thanks

well if you think about it logically temp officers wont probably have approving authority , they could make mistake , Someone senior has to give the final go then the nomination is released.

You assume they only have temp officers and senior officers.

To me it makes more sense to think that they have junior officers who verify the documents in the applications and make sure all is correct to issue AOR, normal/full officers who assess the applications and the senior officers for complex applications (that involves making decisions based on trusting the candidate rather than verifying with a third party). The temp workers/officers probably help doing what the junior officers do and assisting the officers with simple tasks.

I just visited 400 university as well. The officer informed me that my file is in the assessment phase and an analyst will get in touch with me in a few weeks should there be any additional documents required. He also said if my documentation is complete my file will just move on to the senior officer for review post which the decision will be made. He said to call back in a 'few' weeks if I don't hear anything from them. I did mention to him that since I'm visiting Toronto my Indian phone is switched off and he said not to worry they call FSW candidates who live outside Canada very rarely. Seemed like a really nice guy. Was extremely patient and answered all my questions without getting irritated. Overall a good experience, gave me some hope.

Could care less about their working operation. I just want us all to get nominated

well ideally you should receive an email saying that your file has moved to assesment phase and you should receiving addiotional documents request incase they need more information. This is when and only your file will be looked upon and it is on a officer desk undergoing review, before that they are all a bunch of tails

Guys need help...Received this email today..with expiring work permit
How many more days you think may take from this point

Please be advised that your application to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is now with an OINP processing officer for assessment. The program will contact you should we require additional information to support the assessment of your application. Otherwise, the program will contact you again when your application moves to the decision phase.

Received another email advising that the file has been refered to Senior processing officer for a decision
Fingers crossed

whats your app date buddy>?

@prashant could you please repost the time and mention a link to it?

Guys,

By god grace, I have received a direct ITA from CIC yesterday. OINP turned out to be a bad dream for me - a journey full of mental torture.

CRS-475
OINP App date: 22/01
