I have submitted my documents to OINP and didn't hear from OINP until now even after dropping a dozen mails. In the posts, I have seen sending fax would help. But I couldn't find Fax number while searching on OINP site nor googling.

Can anyone help me with the fax number to contact them ?

Thanks

Hi everyone,

Hope all of us get our OINP nomination letter ASAP.

I am grateful ifor you input with your experience /understanding of OINP Settlement Funds. Thanks. My case is I am an ongoing full-time employee in Ontario, and I have $ 12000 CAD currently, but I don't have this much in each of the past 6 months ( only have around $ 7000 CAD in 3 months). Now, after 4 months of AOR, a Processing Officer asks me to provide March to August's bank statements. I don't know why I have a job, and already settled in Ontario, but they still want to see liquid assets. Could anybody help me with clarify what are valid as Settlement Funds. Do RRSP, mutual funds, and an ongoing job count?

Many Thanks,
Mill

According to the application guide:

Income in Ontario
If you demonstrate ongoing employment income to satisfy the settlement funds requirement, submit supporting documents as evidence of ongoing employment in Ontario or a valid job offer in Ontario (note that you must be able to legally work in Ontario).

So my suggestion is send them your bank statements along with you pay slip and claim that you have income in Ontario and you earn more than enough to support yourself (and family). If you can attach proof (your monthly costs vs your monthly earnings) you should be more than OK.

G126, Thank you so much.
I will post the good news once I get the Nomination letter. My fingers & toes crossed. :)

I've some questions and I'm hoping someone has the information to keep me sane :)

  • Does anyone know if they've stopped issuing Nominations?
  • Are they just issuing Nominations to those with expiring Visa's?
  • Have November/December all received theirs?
  • Has anyone in January group with FSW Outland received a Nomination yet?

Thanks ;)

There's no official information. The nominations are happening albeit at a very slow pace.

  • Are they just issuing Nominations to those with expiring Visa's?
They are given priority. Yes.

  • Have November/December all received theirs?
No. Most of November and December applicants are still waiting.

  • Has anyone in January group with FSW Outland received a Nomination yet?
No from what I know.

Thanks ;)

Ok , i am in a bit of a situation.

My dd was delivered on 19th july and have not yet received the receipt. Called / mailed every week and faxed 4 times. Operator used to tell me that there is a delay in sending the dd receipt coz of volume of application.
Today i got a shocker, when i called to enquire ,the operator is unable to find my new dd and asked me about when it was delivered , who received it etc. He said he will pass the message to concerned department and get back to me before weekend.
I think they screwed up again.
This is really unacceptable behaviour .

Was it a guy called Jay ?

If yes, you need not worry as he never answers anyone's queries.

Just write an email to ontationominee@ontario.ca and expressentry@ontario.ca and you should hear from them.

Best of luck.

Don't know the name , but it was a heavy voice with an attitude.

To all who asked when my work permit expires:

June 27th, 2016.

I filed my BOWP application before nominated, and haven't heard back from them yet. If you have further question please send me an in forum message, as I don't always check for replies in the thread (there are too many).

Can I ask if 90% of my settlement fund is already in a Canadian Bank account, and the rest of the funds is with me in a bank account in my home country ?

Can I show the statements from the TWO bank account to CIC/IRCC, when they request it? Would they consider this as an legitimate proof of settlement fund?
