Me too, I took CELPIP in Canada (got full marks), now going to try IELTS.
Have anyone taken both?
How do they compare?
I need to make sure my points don't go down.
Any tips for IELTS or link to practice website?
Thanks ;)

Your test results must be valid (less than two years old) when you complete your Express Entry profile, and when you apply for permanent residence.

Only when you get results it is considered that you have passed the exam. It is never the date on which you give exams.
Nope. If you take a look at your IELTS TRF, it is very clearly mentioned that the results are "valid for 2 years from the date of the test".

Incorrect. IELTS test results are valid for 2 years from the date of the test and NOT from the date of the results.
same thing, the date mentioned in the results.

Exams are conducted on different days. The date mentioned in the results is the day they give marks. I never said the day you receive your results.

The results are valid for 2 years from the date of the written test (LRW).

The date is mentioned in the results. And so it is valid for 2 yrs from the date of result. what I said first time is 100 percent correct.

Whether the date mentioned is the date of LRW or S is just statistics. The documentary proof is the date of result.

The result is valid for 2 years from the date of the test.. it says so at the top of the TFR. The date at the bottom is the result date..

Just because the difference is 14 doesn't mean that the applicants can be misinformed. Someone might be in a terribly tight schedule (onsite travel etc) and if they consider this advice that the test is 14 days from the result date, then they might not be able to take their test on time and their points might go down. Taking the test in advance sounds good but it is always good to be armed with the correct information.

Correct, as Raj mentioned, 2 years should be counted from the Date of the Test mentioned at the top of the TRF rather than the Date of Result mentioned at the bottom of the TRF.

Thanks, the status is the still the same, so I am waiting for it, but I keep myself busy, assuming that NDVO will take 6 months time, so that means 4 more months left.

Wishing all of you a speedy nomination.
