Good luck to January applicants now. be prepared to receive your AOR's. They took about three months time to give out AOR's to December applicants. Hope they speed up and finish it soon.

that's not the case. 25th was Christmas and 26th 27th were weekends so after 24th the applications recd was on 28th and 29th. i.e why you saw the jumping.

So my application reached on 4th January and my DD was dated 28.12.2015. 6 months are getting over in 4 days. What now? Will they return me the DD? They have to, since it's money they didn't en-cash in time!

Yes, if it was not en-cashed, which I believe so. You will get request from OINP to provide new DD within 30 days of that email communication.

It was expected due to slow processing. Don't worry. Most of us in same situation. You're not alone

courier company might have del, who says no, but they were updated later. One of the applicant had called them and they said all the packets were opened on 3rd january which were recd after 24th Dec.

yes they send the old DD back immediately. They send the old DD on the same day when they receive the new one. They start the processing as soon as they receive the new DD. All of you are requested to send new DD immediately if asked for, even if you feel the validity of your DD is more. Wasting time in communication means late nomination.

Applicants are getting their DD back in 7-10 days.

I would suggest you that if you encounter this situation then make new DD, send it to them, and then submit your old DD to bank. This way you can get your file processed fast.

Moreover, applicants have also reported that they aren't sending old DD till they receive new one. However, this is not 100% authentic as OINP is not suppose to do this.

To be more correct sending back old DD has nothing to with new DD, but they wait for address confirmation. IF you email them and confirm your address as soon as you are asked to send new DD than they dont wait for new DD. Most of them sent the address confirmation along with DD.

So after receiving AOR if you are asked to send new DD, the first thing you will have to do is to mail them the confirmed address to send the old DD back, this will save time.

My point was not when they opened.
I wrote about the processing speed despite the fact if OINP opened the package on 3rd Jan or 10th Jan which were delivered on 26th Jan or 27th Jan.
For applicants, received date will always be 26th or 27th Jan.

yes. agreed the date will be shown as they were recd. But you can see there are hardly any app. recd on 25th 26th and 27th. Actually all weekends show blank.
No app recd on Dec 4th 5th, 12th 13th 19th 20th 26th 27th

Thye have to. It is a very tough job now for them to complete all nominations. They must adopt a new evaluation system now because the way they are working now even they speed up they cant give nominations to all before Nov.
