I dont understand why anyone would withdraw after assessment. 1300 CAD is already gone. If you get an ITA then probably everyone will go for the ITA, but not getting ITA and withdrawing prematurely (even if you were to get a refund) makes no sense.
True;
BTW did you pay 1300CAD or 1500CAD?

If I received the invitation I will go with the ITA. Because our ultimate goal is to get an ITA and with nomination I don't think you can work in other provinces. However, I think it will require multiple category draws to reach my score. By that time there is a good chance OINP processing will be over.
Also I don't want to bet only on category draw, therefore I will not withdraw without receiving an ITA.
Another point since we all moved to Assessment stage we cannot save the 1500 CAD anymore, so nothing to gain by prematurely withdrawing.

This is my opinion though.
Agreed, same here.

Yes, thanks for clarifying but I do think there is some in CANADA in play. My theory, they are trying to approve the batches with in Canada/ with ties applicants. However since some outland are also in that batch, you guys are raking the benefits.

Do not hate me for the theory. I am a very theory based guy and like to find patterns. This is the pattern that is emerging in front of me. But I could be wrong. Anyway congrats to all and boo boo to me.

The only good thing out of this is that now people will stop asking me if I got DIP and the focus shifts to after June 5 candidates. YAY, lol
We will still ask you @ImpatientDragon - you started this thread, took intiative - can't hide now!!! :)

I am more inclined towards PNP but again right now my judgement is cloudy as I am not expecting draw to be down to my CRS. However, the point is main goal is to get ITA and in my scenario (my IELTS is expiring next year as well as the EE profile early next year) - so let's see how next week unfolds .... hope some of us get straight ITAs!!!

Hi everyone, I just checked some posts here and it seems to me that this stream (I think it is tech draw, right?) is much faster than the May 8 health draw. My status is assessment since June 2. Hope will have the decision soon...

Exactly! Whatever gets us ITA first, be it from PNP or category based draws. In my personal case, I had planned to settle in Ontario anyway, so whether it’s PNP or direct ITA against EE profile, it doesn’t really matter.

One thing with category based draws is there are 6 categories and these 6 categories would have to be drawn before the end of the year and the quotas would need to still align with the quota for federal for the year. In my opinion STEM is four categories, we really don't know if Tech takes the majority of the STEM category, I personally know 5 Mathematicians, in the 480 range in the pool, so for us lucky enough to be drawn as TECH which has 9 NOC codes out of 24 in the STEM category we should also consider that, if they do 2000 for STEM would the score go so low as compared to OINP which went to 475, I personally think the STEM draw would be 485 and below to a lower range. I think as always, we are all seeing a ray of hope of possibilities, it can also all fade away, in the twinkle of an eye. For me personally I'd stick with my nomination

The one advantage of PNP is that if your EE gets rejected for some reason, PNP can nominate you again on your old application and you can give it another shot. with category draws if you get rejected, you don't have a second chance. Of course you have to first get nominated and I am not even in assessment yet lol.
