Hi All,

I have a general question about the OINP.

I have had an active EE profile since the system started (created a new one after 1 year). Native english (full ILETS), Converted Bachelors 3 year WES degree, Canadian Work and International work experience. I am valid for FSW and CEC. 440 (with partner with equal qualifications).

As per the OINP requirements:

OINP searches the Express Entry pool and identifies potential candidates who:
Have a minimum score of 400 on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) in CIC’s Express Entry system, and
Meet the criteria of Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream (see Section 2 for more information).
If OINP identifies you in the Express Entry pool, you will receive a PT Notification of Interest from Ontario through your MyCIC account. This notification will invite you to apply to OINP for nomination under the Human Capital Priorities Stream.

And the requirements here http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/prodconsum/groups/csc/@oipp/documents/document/oi_en_hcps.pdf I meet all the requirements for an invite.

1. Work Experience: All applicants require a minimum level of work
experience:
o If you choose to be assessed against the FSWP criteria, OINP requires
that you have a minimum of one year of continuous and full-time
employment (1,560 hours or more) or an equal amount in continuous
part-time paid work experience in a National Occupation Classification
(NOC) level 0, A, or B occupation in the past five years from the
date of the PT Notification of Interest from Ontario. The one year
minimum of continuous and full-time (or equivalent continuous parttime)
employment must have been completed in one specific NOC
occupation.
o If you choose to be assessed against the CEC criteria, OINP requires
that you have a minimum of one year of cumulative and full-time
employment (1,560 hours or more) or an equal amount in part-time
paid work experience in a NOC 0, A, or B occupation in Canada in the
past three years from the date of the PT notification of interest
from OINP.
See Section 3.1 for further information.

2. Education: All applicants must have a Canadian Bachelor’s, Master’s or
Ph.D. degree or an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report produced
by a designated organization indicating that your foreign education is the
equivalent of a Canadian Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree. See Section
3.2 for further information.

3. Language Requirements: All applicants must have a language level of
Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 or above in all language
competencies (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) in either English or
French. Acceptable tests for language ability are: International English
Language Testing (IELTS) (General Training Test only) or Canadian English
Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) (General Test only) for English
testing, or Test d’Evaluation de Français (TEF) for French testing. See
Section 3.3 for further information.

4. Express Entry Ranking: All applicants must score a minimum of 400 points
in the Comprehensive Ranking System in IRCC’s Express Entry system. Your
score must remain at or above 400 during both the Ontario nomination processing stage and at the federal application for permanent residency
processing stage. See Section 7.2 for further information.

5. Settlement Funds: All applicants must possess sufficient funds and/or
income to cover settlement costs in Ontario. Funds must be unencumbered,
readily transferable in a convertible currency, and supported by bank
statements. Income may be demonstrated from ongoing employment in
Ontario or a valid job offer in Ontario (note that you must be able to legally
work in Ontario). See Section 3 for further information.

6. Intention to Reside in Ontario: All applicants must intend to reside in
Ontario, as demonstrated by a statement of intent and indication of ties to
Ontario. See Section 3.5 for further information.

I have also selected interest in Ontario in my EE profile.

Is there any reason why, last Dec-Mar round of invites, I wouldn't have got one?

There was something regarding EE being made before certain date were not considered by the selection software of Ontario and because of that no PT was issued (some kind of sotware problem behind). What you can try is to recreate you EE active application.
Other than that I have no idea how exactly is the selection software of Ontario working. (hidden criteria if there are any).

Ah yes, thank you. I do remember seeing something about that with people creating their profiles again.

I had created my EE profile mid Jan, and again this year when it expired. I am hoping the software glitch has been fixed this time.

Thank you. I simply cannot find another reason why we would not be considered.

Thank you for your response!

Be also aware, that currently human capital for Ontario (steam for people with score over 400) is closed. According to the estimations from this forum it shall be reopened again somewhere in November. However it is not sure if the criteria will stay the same.

Hi, thank you, I saw that it was closed. I wanted to be sure we were not missing something in our profile which made/may make us ineligible this time. Of course if the points needed rise past 440 then there's no chance anyway! :p

Learn french to CBL7 and then you can try to get the French stream.
There will be webconference with Ontario (however in French). if there will be something new and interesting there I will try to post it here.

Oh my dear friend! If 4 years of school couldn't get French into my brain, it isn't going to happen now! :p

However, as a part time hobby I am going to try. Eligible for Canada for the next 15 years (until 45) so time to learn I guess! :p

There was a disclaimer on the OINP website that not all people who qualified would be sent a PT NOI. No reason was given why.

There is also no guarantee that these criteria would be the same for the next intake. You just have to be prepared to keep your eyes open for all possible immigration programs you can qualify for.

Thank you - As of now I have a profile with spouse attached (440) and my spouse has a profile with me attached (427). Different NOC codes and industries. Hoping one of us is invited (we will then delete the other profile).

Thanks all

why dont you create a single profile, with the younger of the 2 (or with higher ielts scores and educational qualifications) be the primary applicant... i think that will probaby fetch you more points (not 100% sure however, you will need to play aournd with the CRS tool)

If you are really married, do not do it. Creating a single profile when you are clearly married is a fraud and can cost you nomination if they will find out (and they will, unless your marriage is only on the level of religion and not with a civil certificate done).

Having 2 profiles in play does not decrease any chances what so ever to get nomination. If you are both elibile, both of you can have profile with the other person mentioned as dependant.
Whoever hits the nomination will get it for the family member as well.

This is the one we are aiming for.

We are both valid as primary applicants but both have each other as partners attached to the profiles. In both we have stated the correct martial status so no lies. I have 440 points and he has 427 (I'm 30, he is 33). If it is on points my application will be picked first, but if he is selected for OINP then obviously my profile will be deleted. It's not fraud unless we both submit the applications/waste their time with duplicate accounts.

People with a lower CRS got invited to apply for OINP long before I did. I assumed it was a NOC thing, or perhaps the country I was applying from.
