@Fonca I just got a refund of CAD 170 in my credit card for the biometrics I paid when sent the application.

I never gave my biometrics before, I am confused

You never gave biometrics before? Is that true? Considering you are already in Canada, you should have given your biometrics at some point? Either for Work Permit, Visitor VISA etc? Did you forget?

Hi @chivinas that is very very strange. Can you please login to your Paper PR account online? On the right hand side, under your name, it says when was the Biometrics completed and for how long it is valid. Does it show anything there? I have just given my biometrics today but dont see it updated on the online profile of the paper PR. Probably it will take a day or two. Not sure. Anyone?

That's the section where bio-metrics should appear within a few hours but sometimes It can be a week or more. If not updated within a week time or so, submit a web form with the screenshots (bio-metric stickers). They will add it manually to your profile.

Starting Jan 01 2020, Biometrics are needed for Inland PR applicants even if submitted for non-pr visa earlier.

There are many cases that non-pr visa applicants were not requested for biometrics before but their background check was performed before decision was made.

I speak very well mandarin haha my lawyer just replied me that I can just state him as non-accompanying with a reason..still thinking should I hire her or not as it's another cost..n not cheap though..=P have you get everything ready for courier yet?

I came to Canada 2 years ago, with open work permit, and at that moment, my county wasn't required to give biometrics.

My application was received on Nov 19 at Sydney. If biometrics are needed starting jan 01 2020, could it be possible that this is why I was no asked to give biometrics?

I gave my biometrics when I came to Canada 1 year back.

Besides those titles (in applicant information), it's empty, it doesn't say anything.
Below, in "Details about your application status", says:
Biometrics: we do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes. If we need your biometrics, we will send you a message in your account telling you how to submit biometrics.
