No. The quota is for the number of nominations and not for the number of AORs. Few people would have withdrawn their application after AOR. A few might have got rejected. So, a few of those files will not be nominated.maged_mmh said:if it does cross 5500, then we know then and there that we fell to the largest scam ever
I wouldn't expect "many" to withdraw, also quota is merely a business target, not a commitment of some sort, targets which aren't achieved aren't carried over.rajkamalmohanram said:No. The quota is for the number of nominations and not for the number of AORs. Even if an applicant falls beyond this year's quota, he'll get his nomination in the next year's quota (that will be announced in November 2016).
"Many" changed to "Few" in my post. What we do know is if OINP gives more AORs than it can nominate this year, those applicants over the quota would simply be nominated under the next year's quota. OINP cannot say "slots over" and return applications of applicants with AORs.maged_mmh said:I wouldn't expect "many" to withdraw, also quota is merely a business target, not a commitment of some sort, targets which aren't achieved aren't carried over.

Please help!!
Just opened my eyes to see a situation I have and I am very much confused and worried on the approach to take.
I created my EE profile on 24th Jan 2016 with 406 points. I gave my IELTS on 2nd Oct 2014 (L-8;R-7;W-6.5;S-7) and is due to expire in one month.
After receiving my PT, I submitted my application to OINP on 3rd March and got review & accepted mail on 30th July. On May 2016, due to Age my scores dropped to 400 (exactly just on the wall)
I have another IELTS score which was take on Feb 2015 with scores L-8;R-7;W-6;S-6
Now, I have few questions in mind
1. Upon my IELTS expiration (which will be 2nd Oct 2016), will my EE profile be deactivate?
Yes.
2. To avoid deactivation, can I include my new IELTS results to my EE profile? Will this secong IELTS scores be accepted to the EE as it is low?
You can include it if your CRS would still remain over 400.
3. As my second IELTS test scores are much low comparatively, my scores will get below 400. So will this be affecting my OINP nomination process?
Yes, this might affect the process. Suggest you to re-take IELTS and try to score better and maintain CRS of 400
4. If I get my nomination with the second IELTS scores (say before end of this year), will it prevent me from getting ITA?
Well, if scores fall below 400, it might render you ineligible to receive a nomination from OINP.
5. With this second IELTS scores will I be eligible for applying for PR?
If you get your nomination before your current scores expire, then yes, you can update your profile with new scores and submit your PR application with your second IELTS scores.
Please provide your suggestions as I am so confused with these questions and it is killing me with the AOR waiting.
Congrats!! Could you please mention your file number masking only the last 2 digits?positiveenergylittlesun said:My application was received on 02/24/16, AOR 08/17/16. Thank you all!

I really hope you're right assuming unused quota is indeed carried over. would appreciate any official reference citing the same if exists.rajkamalmohanram said:"Many" changed to "Few" in my post.
