Are you a FSW or a CEC applicant?

I am an FSW applicant.
However I am scared now that i might have chosen the wrong NOC and that could mean trouble.

Cheers!!!

Well it should not mean much to them. They have not selected us on NOC . The other reason is the NOC will not make any change on CRS scores. So it just a matter of change in NOC.

There have been cases in the past where the applicants were given a chance to change their NOC. Don't worry. Good luck!

RE joelvetticat:

What does he mean by this? "As per Mr. Abhijeet, there will be another wait of 2 months or more (FANTASTIC)" ?

Did you ask him how long do you have to wait until nomination, and he replied that 2 months +?

Yes, that is what he meant. Several other applicants (at least 4 or 5 others) were told the same thing. 2 months or more. One applicant was told one month.

Yes, I asked him how long will it take to get a response.

Dont want to be negative...just writing down my thoughts.

2 or more months means they are waiting for 2017 quota to open.
Hence 2016 quota is almost exhausted.

Now since they are a money making organization, they will again accept 5000 applications in Nov'2016
and start processing them DILIGENTLY.

I am not expecting nomination before 2018...if at all.
Not nominating is akin to silent rejection.

Yup, he told me the same.

And congratulations Joel, and speedy nomination!

This is an extremely pessimistic outlook. Nomination = 2018? Everyone's IELTS would have expired and many would not be able to retake it on time. Most people will become ineligible. This will be like one of the scenes in zombieland. The paranoia is getting on everybody's nerves! Relax. We're getting nominated this year.

So, are everyone who have their applications in the decision phase getting calls from AB? or just random ?

Congrats Shashi. Hope we get our nominations soon enough.

Thanks all! I really hope OINP starts issuing nominations soon now.

BTW, I have not received any mail stating that my application has been moved to "Decision Phase". Should I be worried? Like Joel, I was asked to provide them with my bank statements and nothing else. And my job duties are a perfect match with my NOC.

I agree with the paranoia bit; I was a bundle of nerves the last few weeks hoping I'd at least get that verification call.

Now that I have, the wait is on again now for the mail about movement to "decision phase" and then the nomination itself.

But OINP should realise that these are major life decisions for us, and the entire process should be made smooth. They had plenty of time when they were issuing the PTs to figure out a way to tackle large number of applications, and also, the inflow of applications during the first few months should have been an indication in itself as to how huge the volume would be.

With all that said, I seriously don't believe it would take 2018 for the nominations. We should certainly expect to see the nominations flying in by November this year.

My wife is a principal applicant & she had a score of 405. Out of these 10 marks are of my IELTS. My ielts is got expired & tomorrow is my IELTS exam. But, seriously I am not in a mood of giving this exam, I am going to give this exam just bcz my $1500 are with OINP. So, any how i have to give this exam, to keep myself in the race. Seriously, OINP is giving worst service then any government department in our country.
They have no feelings for anyone.

We understand your frustration and most of us share the same feeling. They mentioned that they process "most" applications in 3 months and they process applications on a "First-Come-First-Serve" basis. I don't think they know what either of those mean. The process is definitely not FCFS post AOR and as we can all see it, they took 6 months to send an AOR to Jan/Feb applicants.
