My husband got sinp nomination and my oinp is in last stage(that is what they say for our status inquiry). Our preference is Ontario since that is the job hub for IT. Now i started thinking it is worth waiting or go with sinp to start our pr processing. Any suggestions?
One of my friends had made 2 EE profiles and had SINP nomination on one profile. He had applied to OINP on the other profile and was waiting to get an AOR. He asked my opinion and I told him to go ahead and accept SINP nomination. He is expecting PPR this month and he is very thankful to me. Its your prerogative. Good luck and all the very best!

:-D my only concern is if i am not able to secure a job in sinp will i be free to move? And my next worry is about my 10 year old. Not sure about the education in SK. When i try to enquire about this place to my friends in Canada, no one has any idea about this place and even their colleagues who grew up in Canada. That alone is making me to rethink and wait for OINP.

I respect you for your intentions to stay in the province because you got nominated by them. Most people take PNP for granted and just use that as a back door to enter Canada.

In spite of your best efforts, if you are not able to establish yourself in the province that nominated you, you can move to other provinces. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms - Section 6 - "Mobility Rights" allows any PR or citizen to freely move across Canada and live/work anywhere they want.

What are the docs that we should be ready with while the officer is calling?

Primarily your reference letter - the discussion would be primarily about your roles and responsibilities. Also, please prepare an answer to the question "Why did you choose Ontario?".

Good luck!

One more reason why you should not believe oopnp.com -

Recently we published article where we quoted an OINP employee discussing with us that the OINP cut-off CRS scores for invitation may well remain above 450. The policy was under consideration and was not finalised yet. The score was decided after last year decision to keep CRS at 400 and the number of candidates filling up for nomination went over the roof. OINP is still trying to clear backlogs and issuing AOR’s for March applicants while the nominations are yet to arrive for applicants pending January onwards.
The above content was quoted at 5.34 AM EST - 8th September, 2016.

They got so lost in lying that they never bothered to get their facts right. They did not even know that October/November and December 2015 applicants are waiting for nomination. Man I hate these gossip websites.

Hello friends,

I have been a silent reader of the posts for quite some time now.
These posts have helped me a lot to understand how OINP works and to keep me motivated.

I submitted my CIC application in November 2015 and immediately got OINP notification.
My OINP application courier was delivered on 30-November-2015 while I received the acknowledgement on 06-April-2016.

I tried to reach out to Ontario via e-mails and I used to get the standard response.

Yesterday, 07-Sept-2016, I received a call from an Investigator, Mr. Abhijeet and he asked me a couple of questions (I remember reading a post on the discussion with the Investigator - mine went exactly the same way, asked about my job role and Why Ontario).

I think I had selected the wrong NOC (2147) as I had no relevant experience for many of the criterion questions :(
I asked him for a timeline and got a response of 2 or more months.

Approximately one hour after the call, I received an e-mail asking for additional documents for Proof of Fund (POF) signed by AB. I immediately replied with the requested document (online bank statement) via email.

I received another mail on the same day (07-Sept-2016) stating that my Application has been moved to the Decision Phase with the Senior processing Officer. I sincerely hope they will be able to see me more than my NOC code.

As per Mr. Abhijeet, there will be another wait of 2 months or more (FANTASTIC)

I would like to thank you all for the above thread/comments which kept me motivated.

I would keep you all posted if there is any development.

All the very best,

Cheers!!!
Joel Lawrence

PS: pls do not get dejected, the process will take time. And try to keep your mind busy with other thoughts/activities so that you will feel much better :)

joelvetticat congrats. good luck for early nomination now. 2 months is a random time frame they give so that you dont keep them asking about the result. You all will receive nomination much earlier to 2 months target given.

I still think AB is the person allotted to call the pending nominations which are due since long. One man cannot call 2000 + applicants and it seems to be an impossible task.

May be we see more officers assigned to call applicants sooner or later joining AB to complete the task.

He/She said "while I received the acknowledgement on 06-April-2016." , so his/her AOR date was 06-April-2016
