Nope, I haven't been. Yet.

But from what I understand, the officer that sends the AOR is not necessarily the same one that calls you for verification/mails you for additional docs.

Guys, I received a response from Ontario to the age related question we have all been talking about. And it is pretty clear - after PT NOI, your application will not be affected by points lost due to change in age.

Here is the mail:

Dear Sir/Madam,

This refers to your recent correspondence:

A candidate who reports an age difference between the time they receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) from OINP and the time a decision is to be made by OINP officers for their application could lose CRS points that had been awarded to them for their age and for FSW points, which are criteria under the Human Capital Priorities Stream of our program, and those are the criteria under which applications under this stream are assessed.

In that circumstance, an applicant will not be automatically disqualified for nomination. OINP will take into consideration the age changed after NOI by using the age at NOI as our parameter for assessment, but at the same time, applicants must continue qualifying under all other criteria.

Thank you for your interest in our program.

Well.. If I read it, it states that they take it into consideration and that you are not automatically disqualified.. That is a little different than 'your app will not be affected'

its quite clear now...dont confuse

With the current trend seems like they won't be sending any more PTs this year. The processing for Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb and Mar applicants will occupy the whole year. Can't believe they are moving so slow. Almost half the year will be gone in a month and they haven't yet finished processing applications from last year. Very disappointing. Other than waiting we can't do anything else.

It looks like it works only for Provincial Nominee (67 point). Nothing is mentioned about 400 Express Entry point :(

Hello with regards to the age as OINP stated it wouldn't matter,

I would like to highlight best of my knowledge:

1) Six selection factor is mandate to be part of FSW (Here the age would really not matter till you are within 35 however you exceed that your work experience would also increase so it shouldn't really matter)

2) The most important point if you have score of 404 and you cross the age range e.g.:25-30 it would definitely ur score by 5 points, so now the score would be 399 and this makes you ineligible if you haven't received nomination by then.

At any given point of time till you are nominated you need to maintain minimum score of 400 for OINP.

Please refer the app guide.

Thanks !

U shld get nomination soon its just the limit that OINP might be deciding hopefully after May 6th.

Thanks !

What is this all about May 6th

OINP posted last update on 8-Apr-2016 (about new fund requirement for 2016). Presumably, they need to give a 4 week notice (8-Apr + 4 weeks = 6-May-2016) for these changes to be effective hence they said that these new fund requirements will be effective from 6-May-2016.

So forum members are speculating/wishfully hoping that some changes are coming post 6-May

Could this be why they stopped issuing AORs trying to get the change to apply to everyone going forward?
