Skvach,

Your guesstimate of OINP staff productivity is great. But, if they would have worked 50 - 75 %,

we all would have got AOR's / NOM's in 90-120 days respectively.

There is a definite strategy, pattern on how many AOR's / NOM's to be issued and when?

We only know 870 nominations were issued till 31 Dec 2015.

From the communiques the total 5400 NOM's was the quota for 2015 and 5400 is the quota for 2016 for all streams.

I believe in any scenario, if they wish to utilize nomination quotas of 2015 /2016, OINP must expedite AOR's / NOMS

and complete it by Nov before they get 2017 quota.

Hope we all are guessing right.. :'(

Here goes my question -

I am currently awaiting nomination. PT received in Sep 2015 and AOR in Feb 2016. Does that mean I am supposed to fall within the 2016 quote and they will 'keep a space' for me? Or if they keep on moving at this pace... I may end up in the 2017 quota?

you can tell from your file number

Please advise if you know how to interpret the phone number and what digits represent the year. That will give an idea in which year's quota will be fall in.

I agree, I have a strong feeling that "IRCC forcing OINP to issue nominations at a super-low pace" is the case.
Hope the number of ITAs in each draw increase soon.

I just think they are holding put nominations due to instructions from CIC, u don't see a huge number of draws only 700-800 people invited, once the draws go back to normal u can hear some huge influx of nominations too

To control the cut-off score at each draw. According to the current trend (700-800 ITAs per draw), if OINP issue say 100 nominations before each draw, the cut-off score would increase significantly which will result in candidates with CRS score of around 460-490 losing hope to get direct ITA and they may go for other options like Australia.

Precisely. I agree - This is a very logical explanation as to why OINP is not issuing bulk nominations.

You mean file number? Goes like this XHSW - 160XXXX.

160 means 2016 and the last 4 digits denote the sequence number.

If your file number begins with 160 (as in 160XXXX), then it means you have been issued AOR in 2016. We have the same timeline (you submitted the application one day after me), AOR date is the same and hopefully, we should be able to get nominated and submit our PR applications in another 3 months time.

File number will be received, once we will receive AOR?
