Hey I think we are in the same boat, sent my application in Feb, and got AOR in August. Did your bank draft expire too? I sent an updated one already but don't know if they resumed my application...

I think that a receipt from them, showing that the new bank draft has been cashed, could be an indication to that. At least as far as I know.

EE CREATED IN JAN/16
PT FEB 7 TH/16
APLICATION SUBMITTED ON MARCH 3RD 2016
AOR ; AUG 19 /16
HOW LONG DO WE NEED TO WAIT ?
DO WE GET ANY REPLAY IF WE MAIL THEM ABOUT THE STATUS ?

Hi. I was originally a Nov applicant but my application package was returned due to missing passport pages.
Can I please be added in the list?
Application re-sent on April 22.
AOR received on August 26.

Thank you!!! :)

Hi All,

Just keep you all posted.
Received my new Draft en-cashed receipt on 11- Oct.
And received my old Draft on 16- Oct

Today I received my old draft and a paper receipt..
Receipt is dated 11th October
I didn't get a receipt by email...

The new draft was delivered on 6th September

Guys,

Thought I'd share with you what I've found...

Over 50% of the Nov group have been nominated in the last few weeks and several people from the Dec group have also been nominated (I think around 25% of the Dec).

From the Jan, Feb and Mar group only a few have been nominated and those are mainly candidates with expiring WP.

From Additional Docs point of view there have been some requests in the Jan group, but I've not seem many from the Feb and Mar group.

If anyone has found out something different or came to a different conclusion let me know. Fact is that them main chatter in the Mar & Feb group is about getting DD back, receipts and AORs...

Now each of you can arrive at your own conclusion, but I've found that a lot more nominations have been issued in these last 4 weeks when compared to the last few months, which to me a is a great sign! Added to the fact the the number of ITA are increasing and the CRS seems to be lowering I think well see good things for the next 10 weeks... Who knows, maybe even Mar people getting NoMs before the end of the year and all of us that have a higher CRS may even get an ITA before the NoM...

Good luck to all of us and congrats to those that have already been nominated!

@g126

Thanks for this overview assessment, very helpful.

From your research of the other forums, do you know what the Additional Doc Requests related to?

Yes... great majority ask for the last 6 months bank statements and pay-slips... If you're CEC or living in Canada they also ask for housing rental agreements. If they are unhappy with some document that you've previously submitted they may ask you to resubmit that as well. Also if they call you first and ask about something to which they're not convinced by your answer they may ask for additional docs to confirm...

Thanks! But come on guys +1 for useful posts!!! hehehe ;D

I have finally received my outdated bank draft by mail along with the receipt. Still don't know if they received my new bank draft, so I'm assuming my application is still on hold after AOR :(

TLOU, that receipt that you received today has got to be the receipt of your new draft.
Why else would they give you a receipt for an outdated draft...

I received the same two things as you by post today and just like you I didn't get any receipt in email ...
Also I tallied it with my friends receipt, both are same... So I guess we are okay.

I think you guys are fine and I wouldn't expect any further emails from OINP, they're working hard to process the backlog and are 'forgetting' to send the confirmation emails... If you REALLY want to know then send them emails and pray for a reply, but honestly, at this point if you've received a RECEIPT then I think you're good!

@G126

Yeah, Even I have no intentions of confirming with them in fact I had decided to not mail them to check about it until 2 months had passed.
Besides this receipt corresponds exactly with the receipt that others have got. I'll just scan it and keep it with me in case I need it in future.

By the way, great analysis!!!
Nicely written and well explained...

Thanks, and in between you and me I personally think that the more they like you the quicker they process your application... If you keep bugging and annoying them with emails requesting updates that MAY make them like you less... It would certainly make me like you less if I was a case officer :P

Thanks for pointing this one out. I just had another look at the receipt, and the date is February 2016, so when my first bank draft was received by them. In the description, it says OINP Processing fee. So maybe that means it's a receipt that they got the new one as well. It was a little confusing given that the receipt was clipped along with the old bank draft.

I just didn't know that THAT was the receipt for the new draft. But if you say you got the same, then I guess things are still on track.
