Hello,

I have a bit of dilemma given my acquired PR under PNP Express Entry. I graduated a two year diploma program in the same province that I got my PR and landed a job that I am currently being employed for more than a year now but the office is closing in a few weeks now as the management prefer to put their staff in bigger offices in different provinces. There is one main office left in the same province that I can choose to be relocated but I don't want to go back there in that city (capital of the province) as I don't like to stay there again. Put simply, I find the city depressing and boring when I studied there in 2 years. I have chosen another province to be relocated so I wonder if that could affect my PR card renewal or citizenship in the future. I am aware about some cases where some got their PR renewal revoke or denied for citizenship. But I wonder if some cases like mine can be given consideration since the office is closing anyway and given the chance to be relocated to other offices/provinces.

you lived and worked in the province for 1 year after receiving PR and your office closed. Keep proof of these things but your intent was never to relocate after getting PNP it seems mainly due to circumstances out of your control.

Yes, that's correct. If not for the office closure I could have stay here longer as the city is pleasant in terms of weather, population density, quite accessible to various places including the US border, and next to the sea.

Did you move from a smaller province to a larger one? There does seem to be an appetite for provinces to ensure their provincial nominees intend to remain and potentially remain (period of time?) in their nominating province. Also push from IRCC to ensure newcomers settle across Canada and aren’t concentrated in a few urban centres.

I haven't move yet. I am here in New Brunswick and still undecided which province whether be in Ontario or Alberta. If I move out of the province end of March this would mean that I stayed here in NB for more than a year but not accounting to the time I spent studying and working here during PGWP.
