I got status update with 2 lines as mentioned below:
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 8, 2020.
  2. We started processing your application on February 26, 2021.

There is no line for confirmation on correspondence. I am not sure if correspondence line is for people who receive AOR through post instead of email.

Please update tracker.

In case i leave Canada, should i inform the immigration?
As per Apply for citizenship: After you apply - Canada.ca:

You can leave Canada after we receive your application as long as you:
  1. keep your permanent resident (PR) status
  2. can receive any letter mail, parcels and emails we send you after you submit your application
  3. can reply to our letters and emails within the specified time, usually within 30 days
  4. are available in person in Canada to attend your citizenship test (if you’re between 18 and 54 years of age), interview, and ceremony
Let us know if you plan to leave Canada for more than two weeks in a row.

At this point, that's like....1.5 quarantine periods even within a trip! lol :p

Not to mention a lot of folks are either somewhat stranded in other countries that aren't allowing flight resumption, these are extra-ordinary circumstances in the same way 'extended processing times' are extraordinary circumstances with the IRCC. Not disagreeing with you, but that bolded line doesn't really apply anymore either in the present circumstances.

@mbv747 could follow it, but if they intend to come back within the next few months or so (and not semi-permanently), I see no harm in leaving it as is considering the hassles. Hell, I bet that if his trip abroad is around 3 - 4 months, he'll likely be back by the time they executed on his request at this rate. :p

I agree at a personal level, but it would be irresponsible for me to suggest something against what's written on the cic website :P.

Would ECAS have 4th line added when test invite is sent by the CIC ?

also, which month applicants are getting test invites now ?

Thanks in advance

Cheers!!
