Hi all!

I first sent our application in September. It was returned owing to a missing signature (the electronic signature form...). We sent it back on October 13, it was received on October 17, and we received the AOR today!

Application sent : October 13, 2018
Application received : October 17, 2018
AOR received : November 6, 2018
PR linked : November 6, 2018
OWP linked : pending

I have linked my PR and OWP successfully online. But i found something weird!

It showed that my application type of PR is “permanent resident” while OWP is “Online application”?!! Is it supposed to be “Temporary resident” for OWP type instead of “Online application”?

Am I linking the right one? Because the received date for OWP showed on that is one week earlier than the actual date as well.

Hi! I saw on the September 2018 page other who said the same thing. I have the same situation as well! I don't think there is need to worry, the application number is different than the one for the PR... But you could always give CIC a call to clarify :)

I got it! Thank you:) I guess I’ll be fine since the WOP application number starts with W.

nothing wrong with it .. since OWP is Online application, the visa stick on your passport is called Temporary resident!

after AOR what will happen next?
I know you would usually like my responses but with this one, you are not gonna like it so much... sorry ;)
After the AOR, there will be a long silence for about 2 months. You are most likely will get your OWP approval in early January if they proceeded with your OWP application and then Medical Request around the same time. I've also seen lots of applicants lately are getting their Medical Requests before OWP.

work permit starts with W
study permit starts with S
i was an international student so i basically have applied for anything and everything .. now its PR! lol
I was international student too haha my current work permit is gonna expire in a month. I’m pretty sure I can’t get the extension approved before expire. Since I got the AOR, not sure if implied status applies in this case?

I didn’t apply for OWP tho since my work permit will valid till 2019 Aug. if I don’t get it on time I’ll apply for work permit right before it expires tho. Yeah probably yes that’s what I been seeing on other posts here gotta wait like 2 months
