Hi Baimmeb - yes, we included the receipt for the OWP. You can pay for it following the link and instructions here : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/openworkpermit.asp. Select "Temporary residence" as the drop down selection, and then it should give you the option to select OWP.

When you do pay for the OWP, don't forget that you have to select two things to put in your "cart." The total should be $255.

Other more experienced members will have to comment on what might be returned to you.
Which two items should have gone in? I only paid the $155

Hi all! It's nice to find a forum with others going through the same process! I am sponsoring my common law partner and we sent his application in Oct 12 and received AOR Oct 31. We are having the worst luck with his OWP though. That application was sent back 3 weeks ago because we did not realize we needed to pay the $155 we only paid the $100. Now he is applying for restoration as his old work permit expired before we could send back the new application. Has this happened to anyone? It's causing us a lot of anxiety him being off work.

Hi Kareng - it's really unclear when you're actually paying, and we only were made aware of the fact that there were two things to pay for because of this forum. There's the $155 permit fee and then a $100 fee - I believe it's called something like "application for new work permit" or some silly generic thing like that. They both show up in that list that appears when you go to pay for the OWP, and you're able to select both.

I have heard of some people whose visa officer deducted the $100 from their Right of Permanent Residency Fee, which they are then allowed to submit payment for at a later date. Others have had their application returned. You could always try paying for the $100 fee and then uploading that info via the webform. It may be linked up to your application that way?

Good luck, and fingers are crossed for you.
