Still no sign of an AOR for me since mid October
Am I the only October applicant here who didn't get AOR yet?
If they should have returned my application, would have they done so already?
On myCIC for "review of eligibility" it says "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility."
Does that mean they didn't even start looking at my application, hence no AOR?
I didn't pay the biometrics fees because I misunderstood the instruction (I thought I was supposed to pay the fees only when they ask for the biometrics later).
Did some of you receive AOR without having paid the biometrics fees yet?

Well that is good sign that it shows that your application is in progress. Can you login to MyCIC and check full application status, on the top right it should show "Application Information"where it should have your File number starting with "F*********"

See if you can find that information in your account

My spouce received MR on 14th December 2018 and following is our timeline.

Application Received: 4th Oct 2018
AOR Received: 25th Oct 2018
MR: 14th Dec 2018

We applied for OWP end of Oct application AOR Nov 20. Havent heard anything. Where did you see people getting OWP in 2 months?

I did see some people (a couple of months ago) posting in a thread and saying that OWPs were coming within something like 72 to 78 days after the application was received. I'll see I can find it again. Since then, I've seen people getting their OWPs about 100 days after application received, give or take.

We're so thankful for the OWP program, but will be even more thankful when we have the OWP in hand. It would be great for us if my partner could get a job in Canada (plus it would be good for him - he sometimes gets nervous about the prospect of trying to get a job here.)

You know how you can check application processing times on the IMMI website? Do our OWP applications, considering they're sent with PR, fall under the Work Permit - New Employer category?
If so, it currently says that online application processing times are at 68 days, working on applications from Oct 1st, and paper applications are taking 104 days, working on applications from Aug 26th. Would our permits fall under online or paper, considering it says "Online Application" in the online services portal, even though we mailed applications?

Good point! I checked and I do have an application number starting with F. Does that mean that they are processing my application past the AOR stage or can they still return my application?
Other info in that top right corner are just my names, UCI, date received (same as what Purolator said) and then "biometrics:" but it's empty since I didn't sent them any.

They are processing your application, it wont be returned.

Yes...we received it by email on Nov 22 and physically in Dec 12.

How did you check your open work permit in EACS, I tried to check mine, looks like we are not able to find it. But I am done with my medical.
