PR applicantin does not give an implied status. If an OWP app was sent and is being processed, then an implied status is given.

You get implied status if you applied for OWP, not if you are a PR applicant.

Here’s my timeline:
App. Sent : Oct.23,2018
Application received: 0ct.26,2018
AOR: Nov. 14, 2018

We sent our sponsor app. + WP app together. We received an email (AOR) for our sponsor app on Nov.26. How would I know if mY WP app. Is also on process?

No worries. That should be a prelude to receiving your medical request. My CIC account status changed just like yours yesterday morning, and I've never had any medical exam before. Soon after, my status changed to action required, and I got MR. So you only need a little patience. Hope to see your update soon.

Am I the only October applicant here who didn't get AOR yet?
If they should have returned my application, would have they done so already?
On myCIC for "review of eligibility" it says "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility."
Does that mean they didn't even start looking at my application, hence no AOR?
I didn't pay the biometrics fees because I misunderstood the instruction (I thought I was supposed to pay the fees only when they ask for the biometrics later).
Did some of you receive AOR without having paid the biometrics fees yet?

I didn’t pay any biometric fees yet and got AOR on Nov 14, my app was received on Oct 29. Have you tried calling CIC to checkout the status of your application?

Dont worry about AOR, if you checked that your application is being processed it is being processed. You probably got your application number by calling cic??

That's where I can read the "We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility."

I have access to ECAS too, for PR the status is "in process" and on the details page "We started processing your application on November 1, 2018."

Is calling CIC really useful? I thought they cannot give anymore info than what I can read on myCIC/Ecas?

No need to worry. They have your application and are processing it.
