If I submit a photocopy of my passport, then I need to submit photo copy of of a government issued personal identification right, such as driver’s license?

Also, I do not see copy of pr card or landing document in the doc list. So we do not need to submit that as per requirement right (other than being on the safe side)??

Stick to what the Instruction Guide and Document Checklist says. Don't overcomplicate things.

As per Instruction Guide:
Submit the following documents with your application:
- if you had a passport in the past 5 years:
  • photocopies of 1 piece of government issued identification with your name, date of birth and photograph
Photocopy of personal identification. Examples of identification you can use include:
  • driver’s license;
  • health insurance card
  • senior citizen’s card
  • age of majority card

Note: You cannot use your permanent resident card as identification.

And if the Document Checklist does not ask for PR Card or Landing Document - do not submit it.

Hope this helps.

Hi guys, I applied for citizenship in oct 2018. Going through the thread I am not sure if I did the right thing in terms of submitting identification document.

Based on above i just submitted my driver license and biographical document. I.e. only 2 pieces of ids I submitted, I did not repeat again for personal identification as I thought I have already submitted driver license with passport photocopy

You don't need PR copy because CIC has that on your file with UCI#. Just provide documents as requested in the checklist.
You can carry all the originals on the interview tho.

Check the spreadsheet. You can find the link in my forum signature. Look at August applicants' timelines for AOR. I think it's around 70 days right now. Then add about 7 days to that. So approx. 70-80 days after your application has been received - that's when you'll see the status on ECAS. Please know that processing times are changing on a daily basis. No one will be able to tell you what day exactly you get the AOR. Keep checking the spreadsheet and look at August applicants for now, then September.

Hope this helps.

EDIT:

Here the link to the August sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...kTeM2_AofgT_8b4uTJyBh9pXdg/edit#gid=122463273
Check columns O and P. O tells you approx how long you have to wait for AOR, and P tells you how long after AOR until ECAS shows the progess.
What is ECAS and how to check it ??

I did the same and Before submitting I called IRCC call centre and the person told me repeat is not required as it says 1 proof if you have passport.

That’s great really calms me down . So you submitted a 1 photocopy of passport and driver licence each right? Have you got the AOR?

No AORs for September or October applicants so far. Check the spreadsheet to see the progress. Mid-August applicants are receiving AORs currently.

Yes, just 1 copy each and no AOR.

Like iam_toby said, people who submitted mid Aug are receiving now.
