we checked last week and there had been no change so it must have happened today.

We called last week and sent emails because it was too slow. And on Monday afternoon we finally have the status Decision Made !

My question is , usually how long does it take from that point until we get the passport stamped ? I was planning to travel this August but I am wondering if it will be done by then :/

So my husband contacted the panel of physician to conducted his medical, however, they said they cannot do it because the passport number is different from the one listed on the form. You see CIC requires the passport to have one year life when you are sending it in to them. Hence, my husband renewed his. We advised the panel of physician regarding same, however they advise if they proceed to do the medical and CIC rejects if because of the different passport number we would have to pay "again" for a new medical. Their office was kind enough to tell us double check with CIC before booking the appointment.

I e-mail CIC last night with a copy of the updated passport and asked if the IME number provided previously would change and if we need a new form to take to the doctor office to have the updated medical completed.

CIC Responded this morning advising that the IME number does not change, however, when he goes to see the doctor he needs to take the updated passport.

I thought I should share this information.

You have honestly made my day right now. that shaves like 3 weeks off waiting for me.

Unfortunately, I hate to burst your bubble, but it doesn't change timings at all.

You still need the paper COPR to land. This is a sheet of paper, with your photo (that you send them) glued onto it. You can't just land as soon as you get the email requesting the photo, even though at that stage, you have been approved & it's just dotting is and crossing ts to go.

The difference between the physical or electronic "foil" is whether or not an additional piece of paper gets stuck in your passport. Visa-requiring countries (eg India, China) get a passport-sized piece of paper stuck in authorising travel to Canada, and the paper COPR. Visa-exempt countries (eg UK, France, US) only get the paper COPR, and an electronic permission virtually attached to their passport. You still need the paper COPR, which comes at the same time as visa-requiring countries get the passport counterfoil.

I notice this is new:
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.

Hello every one.

I am from October too. I still waiting and its been 8 months almost 9 and I haven't get any news from the visa office at Mexico. Felling a bit depress :(

Is your background check in progress?

I am not sure if they started reviewing my background. I haven't receive any news from them, I ordered notes to see what is going on with my case.

Any new news October people? I sent an email requesting acknowledgment of my
Uploaded documents with all the system rubbish happening. Doubt I'll get a reply but worth a shot.

I guys! I am from November applicant, but I would like to know if any of you send the passport to Ottawa. I send my on June 17, but I didn't listen they send me back, and my CIC keep saying I am in processing when they already have the decision made.
How long for return the passport? I live in Ontario, so it should be fast.
