Yeah after the COPR was issued MyCIC updated and said approved. We're getting the passport today and my wife is landing Friday! The kids cant sleep theyre so excited.

I finally got my PPR last night!!! over 5 weeks after decision made on ecas! It came as a message through myCIC instead of email.

Congrats!!! This gives me hope We are on week 3 of not hearing anything since receiving my sponsorship application approval email saying they would "be in touch soon". Haha.

Brooke, are you still waiting for the PPR email? If so, check your spam. The email sent to me went to my spam and I didn't see it at first.

MyCIC background check status changed from "Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check" to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information" on Sunday March 19.

Do US applicants always get a PPR?

If they don't send PPR, do they just mail the COPR?

I'm waiting for the next update too. My BGC went in progress on the 18th and from other cases it looks like we could wait anywhere from a few days to a month for the next update. We should then see Decision Made on ECAS and afterwards (in most cases) we can expect to wait around a week or so to get the PPR mail. All US applicants get the PPR mail and inside will be a list of a few things we need to submit (more photos, fill out an additional form, send prepaid envelope, photocopy of passport, etc). For those of you using Canada Post Xpresspost, how quickly were you able to track the self-addressed returned envelope that you sent with your passport copy and photos? I sent them my PPR package on Fr 16th, they received it on Monday 20th (Ottawa), and I am now checking the Canada Post tracking to see if they mailed my COPR yet, but no luck so far

We mailed everything on the 16th of February, it arrived on the 17th, and we were able to start tracking on February 28th. It seems people lately have been having quicker turnaround than that, however.

Our's was received on Friday and Canada Post indicates that we're receiving the COPR today - very fast turnaround...maybe we were lucky. But I knew it was coming as MyCIC changed to approved (yesterday morning), before the return tracking number was activated (occurred later last night). Hopefully your's comes soon!

I sent mine on Friday, too, and I just got COPR this morning. I'm in Toronto. Yours will probably come soon!

Thanks - I'm in Toronto too, so hope they send it out quick (or let me know if there was a problem - my worst nightmare is that they will not let me know there was a problem, 30 days pass, and they refuse because I didn't comply with their regulations... I am panicking maybe I made a mistake in address/didn't address the envelope properly, or something!)
