After getting a request for my RPR Fee yesterday, I received another email today apologizing for the email, saying they saw in the system that I paid it last month.

Then! They told me at the end of the email, and I quote,


"Your sponsorship application has been assessed and approved. Instructions will be sent shortly in order for us to print and mail your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR)."

I'm in!!!!!

I am American and I sent a copy of my Passport bio and photos up front. According to this link (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/final.asp), I may not need to send my passport, instead just wait for instructions like the email said. *crosses fingers*

What a relief!!! I hope others begin hearing soon! It seems like things are moving so fast!

I have a question to those who got decision made.

How long did it take since when you gave them any additional requested documents to decision made?

I was asked a couple documents which i provided but waiting now for almost 2 weeks.

Aaaand we got PPR! Just a photocopy of PP for us since applicant is from US. I can't believe it... didn't expect an email Sunday morning!

EDIT: Just wanted to add some other details for others in case they are useful. Our myCIC still says Background Check is In Progress and the Review of Submitted Documents says that they are waiting for us to send the documents they requested last month (CSQ). Final Decision still says Not Started. eCAS has four lines BUT only because line 4 is them telling us that they requested additional info from us. If we had not had to send that info we would still only have three lines.

I am in the same situation as you, and I can also confirm that eCAS is behaving the same for me. As for receiving the COPR, I mailed out my PPR response (passport photocopy, etc) to Ottawa on February 16, but still have yet to receive the COPR.

Hi I am a new member to this thread. Applied for PR under family sponsorship-outland 4 months ago and just figured out this discussion platform, it is too late though. I am an Indian national, working in Auckland, New Zealand under working visa. I have been sponsored by my wife(canadian PR). We got married 5 months ago and applied for family sponsorship just a month later.
