We had to open it because they wanted us to send a scan before we did anything else.

EDIT: Just wanted to add that we had specifically asked what they wanted us to do with it, and the answer was please open and scan it. It's always a good idea to ask if you're not sure :)
That's what i want to do..how did you contact them? email? i have a feeling they are slow on emails..the automated reply says if we didn't get back to you in 28 days then the answer is online.

Yes, my husband (who is the applicant) emailed them with his file # and UCI # asking how they want us to proceed and they replied less than 48 hours later. Maybe we were lucky with how quick it was!

How long was your Background check in process for, if you don't mind me asking?

Yes, I am. My VO is Ottawa. It's been over a week since I saw "decision made" on ECAS yet I haven't heard anything, nor has GCKey been updated to reflect the decision made. I'm also worried because my address change request still hasn't been updated and it's been over two weeks since I submitted it. Will they contact me via email or physical mail?

Your PPR email usually takes about 8 days and they are sent out in batches. Monday night is when a lot of those emails seem to reach the applicants in box.

I have changed my mailing address twice and it still reflects the old one (I first changed it well over month ago). I don't think it is something to be too concerned about from what i have read. I believe they contact you via email.

hi All

Can I be added to the spreadsheet please.

1.We received your application for permanent residence on October 19, 2016.
2.We started processing your application on November 10, 2016.
3.Medical results have been received.
4.We sent you correspondence on November 2, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

What other details do you need. This is all I have had from the process. They asked for 2 pictures from me. I sent them express and heard nothing back. My account hasn't been updated either.

My common-law partner is Canadian and I'm from the UK. Our VO is London!

Can someone point me in the direction of the guide to understand the spreadsheet. I am unsure of the different stages.

Thanks

Hi everyone!
So I haven't checked ecas in a long time as I thought myCIC was more up to date but today I logged in and it shows decision made on the applicant side!! MyCIC is still showing background check in progress. is it safe to get excited about this or should I calm down?!?! Thanks!
