Ah! That's great we are still patiently waiting haha

Ottawa is quick, so good to see you guys going through Ottawa getting your DMs!

And Manila, what is the normal processing time? Because it looks like they are really quick this season too! All best to all :)

Manila has slowed down now, unfortunately. It used to be 3 months processing for straightforward apps. Now, it's averaging 5-8 months. I had my hopes up since I have a very straightforward case but nothing has ever been requested since. Congratulations to all Ottawa apps. So fast, guys! Can you please shower us some luck? :p

haha yeah, pretty please for some processing-speed dust ;)

ottawa applicant here, still waiting on my background check to start...hoping i see some kind of change or correspondence soon!

Hi all, I sent the additional CIC documents requested to the CPC email. Is everyone only sending additional documents via email or should I also send by mail, specifically my CSQ and RPRF receipt?

The request email shall specifically tell you how and where to send the information to.

I sent everything in email but i believe you can upload the RPRF receipt directly with MyCiC in the requested documents.

My fiance from Philippines finally got her Japanese police certificat but it's a sealed envelope.
It says it should be opened only addresse only and it's adressed to Authorities concerned, Canada
I am wondering if we should be opening it or not.. it may even need translation i have no idea.
In myCIC there is a place i can click to upload the requested Japanese certificat so i'm confused if i'm suppose to mail it or scan it?

Did anyone get a sealed police certificat ? and should we open it?

you can open the police certificate. more than likely IRCC is going to request you to scan it and send it by email, so you will need it to be opened.

The email I was sent didn't actually give instructions on how to send it, we just sent via email like we did with the Police Certificate a few months back.

was your police certificat in a sealed enveloppe? was it accepted? I'm really worried of opening it and then have it refused. Information about this is contradictory.
But a lot of people seemed to have opened it and it was fine even though it clearly says it should be opened by canada authorities only.
???

We had to open it because they wanted us to send a scan before we did anything else.

EDIT: Just wanted to add that we had specifically asked what they wanted us to do with it, and the answer was please open and scan it. It's always a good idea to ask if you're not sure :)
