How long was your background check in progress if you don't mind me asking?

When my Medicals passed on January 15th, the Background check went to "In process", but the next day it reverted back to "not needed at this time". On January 27th the Background check again changed to "in process" and this time has yet to change. So almost two weeks times.

Judging by August and September PPRs from January, it will stay in progress until the COPR is mailed out, at which point everything will change to approved, closed, etc.

Ottawa is relle moving even tho there approximate waiting time was 13 months. Congrats to those that are hearing back. Unfortunately my VO office is in Trinidad (which has a waiting time of 10 months) and our file is still in the queue waiting to be review

Yesterday. Which is crazy ours was just transfered in Jan the 17th so everything is super fast. I don't know if I should be worried lol

Awesome!! I'd absolutely stay positive, they are really turning it up in Ottawa now.

an application can't be refused without an interview or document requests being ignored. if you have DM, then it is a positive decision. you are within the correct time frame for ottawa applications.

We called MIDI and they told us we've been approved. They said they already sent the letter but we can't check our mail until tomorrow so I don't know if it has actually arrived yet. You should call too! The sponsor is the only person who can find out the status of the application. Hope yours is approved and arrives soon!
