Sorry, I am not familiar with all the abbreviations yet! I hope this answers your question - I created an account but cannot link it yet, and I am locked out from trying again until tomorrow ;D However, when i checked Application Status from the CIC homepage, just using my receipt number, name, and date of birth, I was able to pull that information. I could not pull it this morning, or before a couple hours ago, but for whatever reason it recognizes me now. I searched by my name, the sponsor, not the sponsored applicant. Hope that helps!

how strange. I was able to link but I have no information on the CIC homepage lol. I would assume they have begun processing your application as you can't access that if they haven't. your account should be available to you soon

Hi Everyone,
I finaly was a able to link my cic account after several days. I know alot of people are having trouble doing it so here's how i did it.
I searched the forums and alot of people had success doing this and when i tried it, it also worked for me.

1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name.
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application and put '2' as the number of members in the application. I am sponsoring my wife, no dependents.

I know it seems strange like putting 2 for the number of applicants or leaving info blank but hey it worked!

hope that helps!

So, just got of the phone with CIC agent. They had my husbands e-mail spelled wrong. Of course AOR was sent Nov.06 and SA also. Application was transferred to Vienna. The agent was pretty rude and I am furious >:(

is there any way to know if they are sending it back to you or just it just show up in the mail?
haven't really seen anyone state anything other then they got theirs back.

You can't be sure they won't send it back until you get the AOR. They won't tell you if they're sending it back.

yeah I figured it wouldn't be that easy haha

I just checked my CIC account. I did link my application to my account and it was showing before under the applications. Now I checked and there is nothing under my applications. Is this just a technical problem or should I be concerned? I checked Ecas and still says processing.

The X was dropped!!!!!!!! our medical has changed to review in progress! I literally almost fell over my chair at work to call my husband and tell him of the change!!!!!!

That just happened to me too. I re-linked it, and everything seems fine now?

Hi! My ECAS changed to In Progress over the weekend, what's the next steps?! Thanks

on my cic my status is open
my review of eligibility is not yet started
but our medical is review in progress,

Would that mean that I was approved as SA if they are reviewing the medical?

My medical showed up as Passed almost immediately after getting AOR. It was almost another week before I got SA.

If someone can update the spreadsheet for my profile for some of my missing information, it will be appreciated.

My medical was done September 10, 2016
Ecas shows sponsorship application as "in progress" and it also shows "in progress" for the permenent residence side also.

For the permenent residence side of my ecas, the status changed from "application recieved" to "in progress" on november 10, 2016

It did indeed! I was finally able to link. I was actually getting more information from the general status check, but at least now we will receive the messages through my account ;D

Thanks a bunch!
