Hey guys!

I'm a September applicant, I suggest you take a look at our Spreadsheet to give you an idea of what time times are (click on my signature!). Right now, our average for AOR1 is 26 days after the application was received by CIC. I got mine in 24 days. Our AOR was actually sent to my husband (applicant), but addressed to me (sponsor). This has happened for a few people in our thread, which is unusual but not unheard of. So definitely check ALL emails you provided to CIC for your AOR, no telling who will receive it.

Don't bother trying to link with ECAS right now, I suggest waiting until at least after SA. I have not been able to link on ECAS yet.

I was able to link on MyCIC about a week before AOR. Try multiple different combinations of data, it can be tricky. Once you are successful with linking in MyCIC, you will probably see your application number looking like this XF000, the X means it's a temporary number. Once it changes to F000, that is your permanent application number. Actually, I saw the change on mine before I even got the AOR email (one day before).

Hope this helps! :)

This is really helpful, thanks!

Ok, so if our app was received on the 11th and we got mail this friday (returning one document that they said was unnecessary) here's hoping AOR will come soon :)

Hi! Just a question, did it get emailed to the sponsor or the applicant? Were you able to link your account before you got AOR? I am really hoping mine comes too! Sent it in the same day as you! Congrats!!

Hey the email was sent to the sponsor and we were able to link to MyCIC the day before we received the email. Thanks :) Hope yours comes through soon!

We were just able to view ecas with the Sponsor UCI and it shows:

My partner will be sending me his paperwork today or tomorrow and then I can finalise compiling everything into the package to submit! We're having an issue with his photos though. The requirements specifically state that they have to be 2" by 2 3/4" but Walgreens uses a machine that cuts them to 2''x2" (US Passport size). Is this acceptable or should he get new ones?

they have to be the 2 x 2 3/4 you will have to google canadian passport picture providers in your area. my husband had to drive 3 hours in texas because only one person would do it.

Someone on another thread mentioned getting the photo taken and then cutting it to the correct dimensions yourself, would that work? He lives in the boonies and we really want to have our application submitted before the end of the month.
