Do you mind me asking what your timeline has been? When did you get sponsor approval? I'm an American PR applicant waiting to hear any news... nothing since November for us, but we remain hopeful!

Thanks! Our timeline looked like this:

Medical done: Sept 9th
Application Sent: Oct 1st
Application Recv'd: Oct 4th
Linked to myCIC a couple weeks after can't remember the date
Stage 1 AOR: Oct 27th (saw on myCIC/ECAS a few days before getting an email)
ECAS to "In Process": November 4th
AOR2: Never received
Request for passport: January 6th (sent to wife's email)

Hi everyone! I am an October 2016 applicant. I can see that my application changed to "in process" on the 15th of November but I havent been able to link my application to my GC account unfortunately. For my application, I used my old medicals from a failed study permit application which is still valid. Does anyone know if I will be asked to do another one just because it wasn't originally for spousal sponsorship. my husband and I sincerely hope that won't be the case just to avoid any unnecessary delays

Wow! Congratulations! My timeline is similar to yours but I haven't even been able to link my account so I don't have any information aside from "in process". I hope I get a ppr soon

September applicant here, congrats on the DM notice!!! 2017 starting well, huh

About linking your account, IIRC my husband had the same problem. I think his fix was putting 2 instead of 1 for number of applicants (or whatever it says, since I'm going off of memory). I dunno if that's been mentioned in this thread, though.

Just came across the thread yesterday

i'm sponsoring my husband who is living in USA on a student visa.

My application was received on Sept 2, 2016

i got my SA on Oct 13 and my hubby's application was transfer to Accra Ghana for His PR processing

Have been waiting ever since.

The status on his application on myCIC/ECAS still says :

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed Not Started
Final decision Not Started

We also just realised that we need a background check for nigeria because we only sent a criminal record check for USA

but we will be sending his nigeria background check today or tomorrow before they request for it so it wont delay us ..

on top of all this, i just find out im expecting as well

i will get my family doctor to write me a letter of my condition so i can email it to the visa office maybe it will help them when making their desicion

im running out of patience because pregnancy is not something one person should go through

Pray to God for a miracle

logged into GCKEY this morning and review of eligibility changed to review in progress on sponsored side.
I have not recieved SA but i'm assuming if that changed then we have finally gone into the next stage.
