Just mailed in my completed application form to CIC in Mississauga!

Feels like we've been going through the applications a thousand times over and still worrying if they catch anything and decide to return the application to us over something trivial :'(

At least that's one thing taken care of for now. As a side note, I think CIC should grant us all degrees in immigration law, the amount of research and reading needed to fill out these forms and understand precisely what they mean warrants a degree don't you think? :D

I'm dreading the Singapore VO though, it seems like it has a long processing time but then I'm reading that some people get everything done and finalized from CIC within a year (talk about consistency eh).

Ha ha ha I totally agree with you about CIC granting us all degrees in immigration law!!! You are so right it was a lot of research and reading - I'm now so educated with immigration more than I've ever been !!!

Oh yea I went through my application like 100 times, I even torn apart the box the was ready for submission because I was paronoid or worry about something not being right or missing and too my surprise I had my entire application return i week later for missing document - can you imagine lol (oh yea laughing now) but was pissed !!! Then.

Yea Singapore is long for sure, but if you have a solid strong straight forward application your looking at a shorter processing time- your good !!!

Welcome to October 2015 and good luck - see you around the thread !!!

Join the timeline, I still have to myself lol

That document is a little confusing for us new folks :P can anyone tell me what the numbers are a scale of? Weeks or months?

Well my package is still in transit, most likely in a Canada Post truck waiting for them to deliver it on Monday so I don't know what I'd put in the chart yet :). Some members had like 300 pages of text conversations included. Our primary communication application does not have such a feature of being able to archive long chats so I added photos of the wedding and me with her on other occasions, along with a photocopy of every page in both my marriage book and her marriage book (They're identical except they have different colours for the covers).

I THINK it's going to be forwarded to the Singapore office, I mean there have been cases where CIC arbitrary decides these things so we'll never know on a case by case basis for sure unless we track our application status online.

Crazy! We sent ours from northern AB on a stat day and it took 4 days... Did you pay for express? You can get a refund for the delay if you did.

Kangamoose, I will be receiving a refund from Canada Post for $18.00 because they delivered my package late.
Thank you for your input on this. I would not have known without you letting me know.

Before your package gets transfer to your Visa Office, you will have to of received AOR 1 and SA......if you read the beginning of this thread from "officer" ... has clearly stated the first few steps toward the process (it's helpful and gives us a idea of what's next )

Good luck !!

Yeah, the AOR is when they let you know they've received your documents and then SA is the sponsor approval. Also seems like SA doesn't take 2 months as the CIC website states. Seems like all of their timelines are a little wonky.

Just a quick question about the forum , so I finally managed to add myself to the spreadsheet should i be informing someone in order for my timeline to appear ? or this happen automatically ? Thanks ...have a great weekend allllll ;)

Yes. Periodically the spreadsheet owner reviews the new timelines added at the bottom and transfers them to the main table. Making ur username a link is the correct way.

I added my info but don't know how to make my username a link. Please advise. Thanks.

Thank you for creating this forum! My partner and I will be submitting our application later today. Good luck everyone.

Submission Done?? Jordino ??

We mailed our application on 10-10-15 by courier and it was received promptly. We showed the return address as my address in the US. My husband is the sponsor and lives in Canada. I am getting ready to go to Canada for 6 months sometime between November 1st and December 15th.
If anything is returned will it come to my house in the US or will it go to the sponsor in Canada?

And when will we be able to check online for status, my application fees where done online and I have used the receipt number to check but as of yet, it is not found.

We did provide email addresses.

Thanks.
