October 2014 PNP CIC Applicants

Just a heads up here, I spoke to CIC this morning, They informed me the received of my app which is Oct 17, 2014 and the initial eligibilty assestment is not done yet even though its over 5 mos already and accdg to the agent, there is no timeline for file # so I just need to wait. Oh My Gosh!!! I dont know how many months more before I receive the file #

I had sent an email to those guys in January and the replied back confirming that my application is with them is undergoing assessment and they contacting me shortly. Not sure how the "shortly" time period is defined by CIC :)

I think they dont know "shortly" mean.

It seems they are OPNP people only from Oct end and Nov who got their AOR. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope they issue some AOR's in the order of application received soon!! I was hoping that they would be processing our applications like EE because of these delay (I know there is a difference between hoping and dreaming ;)).

Hopefully you get your aor in the next round...like next (could be this evening). The last AOR following trend was Oct 16th. Danny81 confirmed his application reached on the 16th. Yes we have a couple of outliers -Oct 30th, and one in November but those are outliers. I show your date as October 17th...you should scale the first huddle soon.

I would really appreciate if some of you could answer my questions:
1. Is it necessary to have AOR to check your status online? I tried with uci but it doesn´t work.
2. Do you receive your AOR and medical request by mail and/or email?
I´m thinking in moving out of my place, but I don´t want to miss any documents, I know I can change my address later on, but maybe I have to wait after medicals are done if they ask for that by mail.

I am AINP applicant, it was sent on Dec.01st 2014, received on Dec.04th according to the track on my receipt from post office.
Hopefully we all receive our pr this year, good luck and thanks a lot ;)

-Yes, once you have the AOR wait for few days and you can check the status application online.

- I know you can ask Canada post to forward all your incoming mails from your old address to your new address. Just can't remember what is the term for that - for a certain fee and for a certain time. If you want it for 3 months, 6 months or longer.
