October 2014 PNP CIC Applicants

Just one question: I forgot to stick the red ON PNP sticker on the application while submitting it to the CIC.. Do you think that can make a difference (I am afraid that my file can get lost into other PNP applicants) ??

Application received CIC Oct 27th and just got AOR (March 12th)! I'm OPNP. Good luck everyone

I share the same timline as yours and OPNP. My file reached CIC on october 27th. Still no AOR..

you are very unlucky man........first they return your application without any reason if they didn't find your Birth certificate in your PR Application they could ask you by e-mail or can call you as you provide them a cellular number in your application...........i would like slap this officer who return your application........sorry for bad word....but i know its very hard to keep patience ...... .i saw that some applicants got AOR until 14 oct.2014. then CIO start to giving AOR from 30 oct.2014.
hope you will get your AOR in few days..........when you got your AOR hope after everything will be fine with your application.......wish you good luck my friend....!!!

R1982 - how do conclude that i'm unlucky? Because of AOR ? What about the thousand other things that may / may not qualify as luck and good fortune that you don't know about - because we'e all anonymous online. I see myself as being very lucky and fortunate. I'll leave it there.







AORs - Now whenever we all set out to accomplish something no matter how small , progress on that endeavor is pleasing. AOR is a step, and one that can get us excited the same way we can get excited if we run a marathon and finish for those that train to check that off their bucket list (just an example).

Timing - I am observing something with this AOR deal. I noticed in September that CIC stopped processing after they restarting in September at Sept24th for a week. it was a short respite. That same week of pause, two things happened

1. CIC skipped to October 6th, 7th , issued AORs to "mickhoward" and a couple of others and then after they week they continued chronologically

2. That week of respite was also the week of an Express Entry draw. After the EE which happened on a saturday or sunday (can't remember)..AORs started again in normal timeline

I cannot say for sure yet but watching for EE (5th draw before monday) and then if the AORs continue in October from where we left off (Oct 10th)


On a different note, congrats to OPNP applicants, CIC has gotten over their Q&A. Those applicants have had to wait for soo long, and are now being caught up.

I shared this already before, that my housemate application for pr AINP reached CiC on Nov 21, 2014
And applied for a BOWP dec 17, 2014 same date her WP expiration. Got approved after 41 days. Until now no AOR. She just used AINP cert no support letter.

I did the same thing my PR application reached NS in October 20, 2014 still waiting for AOR, my WP will be expiring on May 13, 2015 I applied for a BOWP last Feb 17 thru online. Hoping will get it by first week of April. And will let you know guys as soon as I get it. good luck to everyone!!

Tenkrun10 is a very fortunate man considering what we all went through before we all got nominated. for me, AOR is a step and not a sign of being lucky or unlucky and getting AOR DOES NOT signify that one will eventually secure canadian PR.

hi friend! just wanna have some questions to you. are you/ur friend in a open work permit now? or in a specific employer and u just change it into open? what files did u attach? did u have an explanation letter? thank you. coz im not sure if i can apply for bowp..im in a specific wp now..but i want to change it into bowp. thank you. hope to hear from you

Same question I have here. CIC, advised me that you cant get an open permit if you have not received your AOR.

I also applied renewing my work permit last November and havent receive an approve work permit yet. My work permit was expired last Feb 8, 2015. When I follow this up, they just advised me that it was put on hold because I have PR application.

I raised my case to special inquiry -followed the advised from someone on this forum. Received e-mail from them, and was advised it is on for review and will be delayed.

I am thinking, did they put this on hold because I also belong in the four in four out rule.

Yes her work permit before is in specific employer (close permit)before she got BOWPwhen she applied online only the forms, passport copy WP copy
And Ainp certificate mo other support letter from ainp. Certificate-- no restriction

For IMM 5710 she choosed * an initial WP or a WP with a new employer.
BOWP she received was 2 years valid. But with a restriction of can work to any Canadian employer
Not authorized to work in any occupation rather than stated( she's working 2 jobs now but same occupation)

We're both turning 4 years as well this August 2015 but cic still issued her 2 years BOWP

Hmmm.. Then why do they held my application??

Here is my timeline:
WP close expired --Feb. 8, 2015
Applied for WP extension: Nov. 26, 2014
PR application recrived: October 23, 2014
Status: No AOR yet and wp on hold.

One agent told me, it was put on hold because my AINP cert is expired. - AINP cert was expired last December 26. I applied my wp before cert. expired. Hmmm. Not sure how they put applications in review.

gillian5... one more question my friend please.. did u say yes to the question "have you been told by cic that you are approved in principle for pr in ca" ?

Both of us haven't received AOR yet. My application was received in NS
Last October 20,2015. I just talked to cic agent today they said it was received but not processed yet. so no aor were made yet. and regarding the BOWP they now processing just wait for another 3 weeks if haven't receive need to call them again. Thanks
