Does anyone know what happens when you reapply, do you receive anything back from first application? Or appeal and receive all?

PEOPLE I AM FREAKING OUT!

So I finally recieved a decision made and a passport request 13 DAYS AGO. YIKES I know... I literally have 2 more weeks to send in my passport my plan is to send it in this week express. So my issue is CPC-O asked me to sent in an express post envelope and print out a canada post shipping label and Im not sure how to do either or. I called canada post and they told me that because I live in the US i cannot purchase a shipping label from ther website. I am literally freaking out as i am writing this...and Im planning on sending my passport with a Fedex return envelope however, in the email CPC said that if i use any other courier they will return my passport using regular mail and I do not want that to happen... SO I NEED HELP...WHAT DO I DO ???

Four weeks ago I sent my passport to Visa Ofiice and still have not received it back.
Along with passport request, I received a letter saying I had to land in Canada before August 19th and that they would take 2 to 3 weeks before they returned my passport, but today is four weeks without hearing from them.
I sent email asking and they didn´t reply.
Ecas still says In Process.
Anyone has any comments about this?
I just want to be done with this and have my passport back! :´(

I would presume you will not get the things back when you reapply since you will be apply a fresh application. Please call the CIC and confirm

Sent app in mid July, wife forgot a tax form, sent it in so official receipt of app was October 16. US applicant so Ottawa office.

Sponsor approved first week of January.

Received a documents required email April 8 from CIC, (that I'm starting to think is sort of SOP regarding more proof of relationship), and also requesting a copy of the same tax form my wife sent. Mailed that in about a month later.

Started processing May 26, decision made May 28. So now, just waiting on the next step.

Quoting myself here just for the data points. Today, got my COPR in the mail. I guess it will sink in when I cross the border in a few weeks. The whole process was emotionally exhausting. I guess I had expected more notifications from all the cells in the spreadsheet :) but I supposed it's SAP not to notify of no request for passport, interview waived etc. I also expected a shorter expiration on the COPR, but I actually have until April of 2016 to land. What a relief to finally have it in hand...

Congratulations to all the DMs and PPRs.

I have got my notes yesterday and they stated that our marriage is genuine but the criminality and security check has not yet started. Also, my application is already in process since three months.

Do anyone know how much time it gonna take for PPR?

On June 8th, I received an email requesting for me to undergo a medical exam. Strange, I had already done my medical in advance last year in July 2014.

The letter says I have 30 days to do the exam from the date of the letter, however there is no date to be found on the letter! Oh well, I've got an appointment booked for tomorrow. Is it strange they are asking me to do my medicals again?

ECAS says:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on October 7, 2014.
2. Medical results have been received.

I am applying through Common Law status.

Congrats to all of you who have seen progress along your application (DMs and PPRs).

Hello,

Yes I figured it out. I actually called a friend of mine who lives in Canada and asked her to purchase me a prepaid Xpress post envelope and mail it to me in an envelope which I recieved today. I will then mail this envelope with my passport tomorrow and CPC-O will use that return prepaid envelop and mail me my passport. Canada post DOES NOT do ship in a click for the US.

It's an open spreadsheet, for anyone to update.

I can't update it. My file went "in process" on June 3.

I'm curious as to why the people who indicate an "in process" date generally don't report ever getting DM2 (at least not yet) whereas those that report DM2 don't report ever going "in process". Would it be correct to say that if you're a straightforward case, they just advance your e-CAS to "Decision made" without stopping at "in process"? The alternative would be that the people that go DM2 very shortly ever going IP may have two things to report to the forum/on the spreadsheet and they just report the DM2.

Our application went straight to DM, without going in process...two others that I know from our Facebook group had the same.

A few minutes ago, I received an email from CPC-Ottowa requesting my son's birth certificate (I thought I included it with the application). But anyway, my Ecas also said Med results received. Before it said application received only.

It's good news that Ottowa is working on October applications!

finally! :) You've probably send it in, but it would not be the first time CIC lost documents.
Excited by your progress! :)

This post just made me smile. I'm so happy to see something being done with October applicants.
