It seems recently a few have been approved rather quickly, right after SA for their PR and it came directly from Mississauga. The SA timeline is increasing daily, makes ya wonder....

could this be due to inland cases only?

I would assume our applications shouldn't get impacted as much as say someone applying or applied after the timeline went up.

Most of us are closer to the 54 days posted on the CIC website.

No, if I recall correctly, there was one from London, not too long ago, who was granted PR through Mississauga rather quickly.

I found this, if you read the information in the red box, top right corner, it says that some of the London applicants have been processed in Mississauga and Ottawa.

I also read somewhere that someone had a chat with cic staff at some social function and the cic staff mentioned that they are now changing things around. Some files are kept in Mississauga to speed up processing at the local visa offices. I sure hope they hired more employees...
M only at day 44. Sigh.

Thats interesting to know. I havent heard about other visa office's applicants being processed in Miss.

It would be just the London applicants right

I don't have an answer for that one. Maybe someone else knows?

I also read about a Sydney, Aus Outland applicant that was processed at Missisauga. I read somewhere that the very straightforward cases are being held there but there's no info on what "straightforward" means.
I did wonder if this was having an impact on SA processing times.

Yes, its true some of the applications are indeed processed in CIC-M, you guys can check out in the September 2014 thread. Atleast one each from London, Sydney and Manila have been processed in CIC-M.

Also the fact that in the new IMM0008 form they have removed the question as to where you wish to process your file indicates that they might increase the number of applications to be processed in CIC-M.

Also as they are processing the files at CIC-M instead of sending to local visa offices the SA time's have been increasing. But at the same time it is good for people who's files are clearing up rather quickly. :)

Yes, it's great for those who's applications stay! Very short turnaround. Have you noticed if it's only people who are living in Canada but choose to apply for Outland processing who's applications are staying in Mississauga? The only ones I've read about seem to be already living in Canada.

Hubby (sponsor) called CIC yesterday and got AOR over the phone. He was advised to wait for 2 weeks for SA...
