Hello @ Annaj,

When you say your case was straightforward, what do you mean? I have not received anything from CIC, and it has been 45 days since I submitted my application. I have lived in canada for over 8 years. First as a student, then as a worker for 3 years. Do you think that constitutes as straightforward?

Also, when you say decision made, do you mean you have received your PR?
I did not receive anything from CIC for 44 days, so you not hearing anything for 45 is completely normal. Most people applying in sept didnt hear for around the high 40's 50's. And when you finally receive word, it's usually SA (Sponsor Approval).

Decision made, is my application was approved. So I will be getting Permanent residency, but there's still a wait to receive my COPR, and I think before that they may request for my Passport.

I feel my application was straight forward because I have been with my husband just over four years and included solid proof of this. For that entire time we have lived together. We have been married just over a year. So that is a lot easier compared to, say, a couple who have only known each other for a year, or cases where a lot of the relationship has been long distance.

I was not effected by any updated forms. (I feel so bad for those that were effected by that, so incredibly frustrating for them!)

We don't have any kids, that helps.

Also my husband - the sponsor - is well educated, has a well payed job, same employer for over ten years. I have always worked since living here, have a well paid job with a solid education, we have proof of being financially comfortable. Not that any of that matters, but im sure it helps the cic officer feel a little more positive about giving me residency.

Also I'm Australian and I believe there is a strong relationship between Australia and Canada

@Applechunks-my thought on patience exactly!
It has only been 10 days, and I cannot seem to stop worrying about everything and anything and counting down hours..
???

I'm at day 47 and it's gone down to 44?!!!! :o
I'm hoping I hear from them by the 50th day atleast!

Good luck everyone! We all need it!

I'm constantly worried that I've missed things or used the wrong form. It's torturous!
Reading other stories on here makes me a little less concerned because it's only been 25 days...trying to just breathe! (I'm So dramatic!!) ;D

Your husband (Principal applicant) will have to fill his own forms and gather the documents acc to the document checklist provided for Philippines.
He will have to send all of those to you in Canada where you will have to add your documents & forms and send it to CPC mississauga.

This is what my husband and I did, he's my sponsor and lives in Ontario.

Good luck! :)

So I just spoke to CIC and a very nice lady confirmed that my application has been received but they haven't started working on it. I should give it another week or so.

I got an application number as well. One less thing to worry about :).

LOL, I think we're all a little dramatic and worried. Plus now with the form update for IM0008, we're all a little on edge.... Then there is the ever slowing SA timeline. I'm seeing in the spreadsheets we're up to 53-55 days. I don't think my app is going to be touched until after the New Year, if that timeline keeps increasing. UGH :-\

I just spoke to them, so they are working on application received since Sept 29th. I know for sure that most Sept applicant's have already heard from CIC. I am thinking we will be hearing soon.

BTW - I also brought up that French version of the website shows "Sept 29th" and English version shows Sept 9th. She noted the descripency and she will notify her team to get that corrected.

Good news, Warzo. Glad to hear you got some feedback. Let's hope some of us get SA this week!
