It's from a British show called Little Britain -you either love it or you hate it- The full clip is called Carol Beer- Old man and it's on YouTube... it just reminded me of CIC and what I'd reaaaally like to tell them, ha!
What kind of wrong advice did they give you?
thanks I watched a little bit this morning and ;D so funny.
My oath ceremony was 7 days after the exam.
I lost my CoPR but had copies,PR card, csq, custom form and immigrant visa. So I called CIC to know what should I do regarding my oath ceremony. A lady named Claire told me
not to attend the ceremony and instead to send them a letter explaining that I decided not to attend due to missing CoPR. And since replacement of CoPR takes 6 months, she said to ask in my letter to be rescheduled for the oath in 6 months...
But when I told her that I was thinking of going and explaining my case to the citizenship officer, she lost it.
She became so rude and arrogant. She said "you know what? Do whatever you want.If you want to spent your money on gas by going there, suit yourself. I am giving you good advice and you decided to ignore it. Go ahead."
I was totally shocked. I didn't want to enter in a fight, so I said "thank you very much for your help".
I went to the oath ceremony, explained the problem and ...I became Canadian.
I wasn't the only one who lost the CoPR. The Officer advised us to apply for a new one for future pension.
I am so happy that I decided to listen to myself.
