All the very best. Hope they speed up the process for Oct. apps.

Today I got a letter from CIC, stating that they received my application on October 14. The letter was generated on Oct 28. I didn't give them my email since my husband preferred paper mail. I'll add my info to spreadsheet.

Thank you. Yes, it's good to know for sure that my application was received.

I also thought they didn't send out Acknowledgement of Receipt anymore. Maybe it depends on the agent? I'm not sure.

sent package on oct 22, delivered on oct 23 via fedex. However, I made a mistake on the mailing instructions so I'm not sure whether it was actually delivered to the right place or held at fedex location for pickup later. The person who signed is Amrita. Did anyone else have that person sign their package?

I hear they are good at forwarding packages to the right office.

Thats great to hear. Does any one know if they confirm via email

Uh oh I hope my outland application is not being mistaken for inland application!

Yesterday I posted here that I got AOR. This is what it said

"This confirms that your application for Permanent Residence under the Spouse or common-law partner in Canada class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/10/14.

You will receive further correspondence once your application is under review by an agent. Passports for yourself and your family members must be valid for the duration of your stay in Canada."

It sounds like it's something they would send to inland applicant! I reread the letter today and it doesn't sound right to me.

Does anybody know an outland applicant who received AOR? I'd like to know if their AOR said the same thing or not.

Scary!

It does sound odd they would call in in Canada class. So you know the website differentiates between the in Canada class and outside Canada.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse-apply-how.asp and then under get application package

I think you should contact CIC asap

They might have made (yet another) mistake thinking that this is an inland application. We initially applied inland and received an AOR email with exactly the same content. When we submitted our outland application last week we made sure to write OUTLAND everywhere in the packaging and various envelopes. Just in case knowing how useless they are.
