It does sound odd they would call in in Canada class. So you know the website differentiates between the in Canada class and outside Canada.

Yes, as soon as I read "in Canada class", I had a feeling something went wrong!

I did fill out the right forms and sent it to the right address.

I'll have to contact CIC.

They might have made (yet another) mistake thinking that this is an inland application. We initially applied inland and received an AOR email with exactly the same content. When we submitted our outland application last week we made sure to write OUTLAND everywhere in the packaging and various envelopes. Just in case knowing how useless they are.

Exact same content? Really? So this AOR really was too good to be true. When I read the letter, I was thinking I haven't seen anybody else on spreadsheet mentioned AOR.

I was hoping not to need to call CIC ever. Oh well I hope I get a nice and happy agent.

Every time I spoke to CIC during my sponsorship of my husband, every agent (and I think I had to call about 4 times) without exception was great - helpful, friendly and polite.

So don't worry if that does end up happening.

I usually dial the number then (2,1,1,0) which saves time and get you to the agent.

It's luck of the draw really. I've had to call them a few times and I only had ONE person deal with my questions professionally. I have to say that I hang up as soon as I notice that they have an attitude, there should be ZERO tolerance for that.

As for your AOR, there's at least one September applicant who also did outland and received AOR whereas others didn't. Problem is, she still hasn't got SA even though it's now long overdue. Maybe her (and your) applications were (mis)handled by the same incompetent agent who thought that they were both inland applications?? A few months ago there were some outland applicants who had similar problems.

I called CIC today and yes my application is being marked as inland. The agent said she will email Mississauga and they will contact either my sponsor or me.

I think I will wait for about a week and then call again if I didn't hear from them. The agent was nice and helpful like a lot of you said.

I wonder if the mistake was from my side or CIC. I did fill out the right application package. I know because I was actually filling out inland application before I decided to apply outland.

There is one thing I can think of. Since I was almost done with my inland application, I had IMM0008 and IMM1344 all filled out. So instead of downloading them from outland package link and fill out all over again, I made changes to IMM0008 and IMM1344 I downloaded from inland package.

Would that be the reason my outland application is being mistaken as inland? But I checked the form name and number, date that was last updated, number of pages and content and they were all the same.

I think my application process is being delayed for sure but at this point, I'd just be happy if it can be switched over to outland pile.

sent package on oct 22, delivered on oct 23 via fedex. However, I made a mistake on the mailing instructions so I'm not sure whether it was actually delivered to the right place or held at fedex location for pickup later. The person who signed is Amrita. Did anyone else have that person sign their package?

OMG I am so happy that you noticed the mistake early in the process. Just imagine if you would not. wow. this shows us how careful we need to be while receiving a letter from them.
