I was asking about the form you submitted on Oct 1st, were you able to contact them asking if they have received it.

And your MP submitting the form for the third time just as a backup correct.

As mentioned unfortunately I dont think you can do much other than contacting a PM which you have done.

Is there any possibility to go and visit your husband to make it easier on you guys?

No no my MP emailing them the documents today would Only be the second time submitting the same documents. And no they haven't confirmed anything, that's what's annoying me, they're only basing it from the notes on the computer of the tracking number that I provided them on October 1. That's the part that I don't understand why can't somebody can't physically open my file and say "yes I have these papers in my hand right now" ?!!?? So frusterating

Yes unfortunately the call center agents go on whats on the system and they have no access to the files whatsoever. Is there a possibility to go and visit him?

Yes I'm going to go. At this point my hands are tied and its out of my hand. I just wanted to make sure I did everything I could before I leave. Being with my husband makes time pass faster and keeps our mind off of things but that's when I know at least there is some movement on the file and things are at least going in the right direction instead of just floating in space , u know?

Of course it will help and make sure you are going only for a visit and not move there if you are a PR. We are in the similar boat (not the same) We are sick of the distance and are going crazy. Thats why I am making the long trip back during the holiday - 34 hour flight with 3 stop overs.

I know its hard but stay positive and make sure the form reached them and they acknowledge it

We just spoke to one of the managers at CPC-M (we had a made a complaint and were given her direct telephone number). Among other things, she mentioned that our application will be reviewed for completeness by the end of next week. We applied on 29th October and the file was received on the 31st. So if what she said is true, late October applicants whose packages are in order should receive SA within the next week and a half.

Let's wait and see.

Congrats and Welcome. If I remember correctly you had applied out land at the Sydney office and you were processed in Mississauga right?

Thank you! Yes, I was processed in Mississauga, even though I applied outland via the Sydney office.

So if what she said is true, late October applicants whose packages are in order should receive SA within the next week and a half.

I wish I could see that happening, but there is no way they will have the review done by the END of next week. First, they still haven't approved those in the late teens, early 20's. We have a lot of people ahead of us without any word and waiting. Then, lets look at the dates: we have Xmas eve falling Wednesday (most people save a vacation day to take this day off), Xmas falls on Thursday, CLOSED, and Boxing day falling on Friday, again they're CLOSED. CIC is only working 2-3 days next week. Maybe it'll happen the following week, when they work another whopping 2-3 days, again! :-\

I'm just so depressed that this is happening. If I hadn't had to resubmit that updated form in August I would've already been coming close to my husband being here already, assuming everything else went smooth of course

Guess I am the only one still hanging on the thought we will hear back by Dec end. They are closed only on the the 25,26 and the 1st.

Yes there will be a staff reduction but I am still hopeful.

Hi! I've been following the thread and the rest of the forum for awhile now, and added myself to the spreadsheet a couple months ago, but never actually posted. Waiting for SA to sponsor my common-law husband in Kiev. When I moved here I thought Ukrainian immigration bureaucracy was horrible, but the Canadian system doesn't seem to be much better.

P.S. "MaryL" has edited my info in the spreadsheet (I can see in the revision history from Dec 14, 3:48pm). Please let's be careful not to mess up other peoples' rows! I really thought I was going crazy this week, I kept checking and saying "huh, I could have SWORN it was submitted earlier than that!". I didn't call CIC because I thought my 58 days hadn't been reached yet - when in reality they have.
