I just dnt understand why after medicals we still have to wait soo long and till now no ppr request.

You really should have contacted CIC already - it is unusual to wait that long.

i am same boat decision made feb 24th but no ppr yet

This is post medical/RRFP, etc. right? Send an email and ask them. You will get your PPR a day or two after.

The automated PPR could take a month or more, that was the case for me. I received it I think 5 weeks after the PPR that was a response to my inquiry.

I send them email once a month
I request for Case file every two month
I send email to MP every month as well and she always ask for update on my file then update me then tells me to contact her in a month time if i still have not heard anything from them...

As for me, i paid the fee without them requesting for it as i was tired of waiting after medicals..I am yet to receive Bio request. i hope Bio and ppr wll come together..

Actaully you should email MP and log a complaint I did. You can ask MP to forward your complain to Ministry of Immigration
against the CIC system
They are processing 2013 applicants faster and those left behind are stuck waiting since 2012.
This is NOT a fair process.
2013 are getting PR in 8 months and we are still waiting.

Complaint is not going to help here, but he should contact his regional MP and ask to follow up on his case - they usually do.

How many people still waiting to hear from CEC? My PM Representative was going to followup on my case early April as my file said it would have an update in March. Since I heard nothing yet again in March I can only assume that nothing has changed. Meaning I've been now waiting 9mos for a background check. I have had 5 work permits surely they check during that process I'm so frustrated and if it wasn't for the fact that I'm engaged and have a life here this process really makes one wonder if Canada is for them. This process has so many flaws its so aggrevating...

I am still waiting. Just got a call from my MP and background check has not yet return. Next BF date is may and I have to contact her again if I have heard nothing from CIC. It is sure frustrating.

Landed today. Finally!

Finally after 16mos I got the email today for medical request! My luck my doctor is on vacation now, but I'll take that over the alternative.

Woooh,what a wait. You should other doctor on the list . it does not have to be your doc. The earlier this better. Only God knows know long more you gonna wait for ppr after meds. I am still waiting since meds received in Oct.
Hurry up n go do your med. Pay your landed fee as well if you can so all you gonna have to wait for is passport request n bio.

I assume the landed fee is what comes with the biodata which I have no got yet.
