I think it also depends largely on how many countries you have stayed for over 6 months since you turned 18. I have lived in Canada since I was 17 so my security check must have been real easy. And my spouse has not lived at any other country other than home country too. Dont stress and good luck!

Its funny how things work out. My PGWP was expiring in August, so i applied for BOWP and got it on June 4th. I thought there is no way my process will be fully done by August. AND the next day I get medical request! I think i should buy a lotto ticket for this saturday! It has been a good week for me. Thanks to God!

Good luck to you pari_p and all the forum members! I have my medical scheduled for wednesday and my spouse for tuesday in Pakistan. Hopefully things will start moving for everyone.

The only problem I have now is to get my spouse passport over to Canada before PPR. I am super confused how to do that!!!

I am in the same boat as you.. actually there are many people in the same state... My spouse is in India but recently one of the members here found out that DHL allows passport to be sent to Embassies around the world if there is a letter from the minister of external affairs and letter from Canadian Embassy (or any other) that passport needs to be in that specific embassy for stamping etc.... Ask around the forum and call DHL and see if they can send your wife's passport!

No, not yet! only medical request for now. I am just trying to plan before i get PPR of how to get my spouse's passport here in Canada.

Yup thats my problem too! I am planning to go to back home for vacation... planning to just bring back my spouse's passport with me! Thats the easiest way.. will have to just find a way to get it back to my spouse once COPR is issued!

Was your ecas status changed to in progress after you have received MR or after CIC received your Medicals from Doctor. My application has changed to in progress last week wondering if this is normal?

To Bickyii's comments, plz review our tracking document as my entry had a NOC code put in as my name. There also looks like 3 entry's for one person towards the top of the form.

Here's a question the processing time thats documented as an average time would this be from when application is approved in NovaScotia and sent to Ottawa, or when Ottawa begins the case?

swalsh19, its a shared document and anyone can edit/modify it.. Please change your name where it says NOC code.
