My wife's application has just changed to "In Process" at Ankara VO :)
It says they have started processing her application from January 28th 2013

My husband got his visa today ;D

Whole process, from the time CPC-M received it, took 3 months and 18 days :)

All the best to everyone. Prayer and patience got us through everyday of waiting.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. A summary of my story - my husband lives in Quebec and I live in Vermont, USA(I'm a US citizen), so we are able to see each other on weekends, but it is still hard to be living separately. I submitted my application to Quebec in October of 2011 and was approved provincially in October 2012(I think Quebec is the only province that does this?). My application was received in Los Angeles and began processing in October 2012 and currently says "in process" on the website. We used a lawyer, but I wish I hadn't as she has made some mistakes that I wouldn't have and am afraid it has prolonged my process. But, anyway, hoping for very soon! Good luck everyone!

Hi guys

My (Canadian) wife and I (British) have decided not to wait for the PR to come through and are moving to Canada on 16 March. Was just wondering, should I change my address and contact details with the London VO to my new Canadian address, or would that affect my outland application? Should I just change my address to my parents' address in the UK?

Cheers!

Just an update on my status. I am American, and I applied inland through Vegreville. I am living in Quebec with my Canadian husband (he's military, hence the move up here...we met in Oklahoma, U.S., where I lived and where he was stationed for four years). My application was received October 23. On January 28, we received notification that it had been received and instructions on sending information to Quebec to get my CSQ. We sent all of that in immediately, but while Quebec has charged our credit card for the $266 fee, we haven't heard anything else yet.

I find the process pretty frustrating. Mostly because I am scared to leave to visit family and friends in the US (since my inland application would be at risk, and we're almost $900 into the process now). Also, there is an excellent full-time french program for immigrants, but my immigration status doesn't qualify me for the program until I receive my PR. Hell, I'll have been living here at least a year and a half or two years by then! I have a true desire to learn french, and it's pretty frustrating to not be able to take advantage of the help that's out there for so long. I'm doing what I can for now, but the french classes offered by the military for family members is not very intensive, and my progress is very slow. I'm still not nearly conversational in french, and it makes life here very, very difficult and isolating.

Guess I'm mostly venting. It's lonely up here, and the winter is long.

Hey Ross,

You can change your address details to Canada with no problem. It's a very common thing to do! What would happen in that case, is that you will be sent your COPR once it's done processing, you hop down to the border to exit Canada, and then re-enter as a PR of Canada. All the best with the process!

Is there anyone in here who applied October 2012 inside Canada who has gotten AIP yet?

My app was sent in on October 5. No AIP yet but am hoping (judging by people's timelines) that I have it within a few weeks...

NicJohn thanks very much for your response. What timeline are you looking at for AIP? I should come clear by late April, but April 26, will make it a clear 6 months

I'm looking at anywhere from now to mid march. March 12 is 6 months for me. But I have a friend who got her AOR in November and she got her AIP last week. Also the inland 2012 spreadsheet shows all November AOR's received AIP...

@NicJohn Did you say inland November AOR's are getting AIP? Are these 2012 applicants? I was looking for an AIP at around April or so

Yeah November are..

Is there an October 2012 inland thread? I would love a time line to see how its going with other October inland apps.

There's a 2012 inland thread: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/updated-topics/-t90875.0.html;topicseen. And this WONDERFUL spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArrQkNcsLVotdDJOOWJlZkhVOEhCMHZCakNoa3UzVHc#gid=0, which gives you an at-a-glance idea of current timelines.
