Have u received your Sponsorship Approval?chipits said:At this point almost everyone with me got their stage one approval like 10 days ago, except me, so I'm definitely worried ???
I know I shouldn't be, but it's hard not to...
JoeUH said:I see on the spreadsheet that only one of us, for Vienna, has received an AOR for Stage 2. I know it's always going to be longer for some people, but I was hoping for more by now so we can all see where we are in the process.

WoodyKatie said:sadly, still havent received any email..no news about our application..

It says on the CIC website to contact them if you haven't received anything within the given processing time (32 days at the moment), but then only gives a phone number for people who are in Canada. Has anyone been able to make contact from outside Canada?

looking at the website, it seems they are currently working on apps received 31st october. It is rare that an AOR is sent upon receipt, instead it seems to be sent when the case is being worked. The sponser will receive the email and then you can expect a decision to be shortly after that (unless more information is required).
It was only after reciept of the AOR that I was able to log into the site (the AOR will include an ID number).
Aword of warning, if you are outside Canada, the actual decision will be sent snail mail economy. This can take 3 weeks normally but may be even longer with Christmas delays.
Hopefully you will get AOR by nest week.
