OMG! Havent rcvd any email but i tried to open our ecas and it was a success! (without me knowing I can open it, havent rcvd approval yet). What does it mean???
Have you received AOR?

I see on the spreadsheet that only one of us, for Vienna, has received an AOR for Stage 2. I know it's always going to be longer for some people, but I was hoping for more by now so we can all see where we are in the process.

At this point almost everyone with me got their stage one approval like 10 days ago, except me, so I'm definitely worried ???

I know I shouldn't be, but it's hard not to...
Have u received your Sponsorship Approval?

Had a busy day yesterday!

A decision was made on Movember 13th but only got the letter confirming that my wife has been approved as sponsor.

However, I also received AOR from Seoul visa office yesterday too which is great news. I understand that not every visa office will send AOR so I wouldn't expect everyone to get it.

My AOR seemed rather generic but was sent from the Seoul visa office email address.

My details are not yet registered in the online system, but I will check every few days.

Good luck!

Have you been checking online? Or are you waiting for an email or letter?

If you are outside of Canada, I can confirm that it can take 3 weeks for a letter with the decision.

sadly, still havent received any email.. :( no news about our application..

Neither have I Katie. :( It would be nice to have had some kind of acknowledgement at least by now. ECAS still isn't working for me.

It says on the CIC website to contact them if you haven't received anything within the given processing time (32 days at the moment), but then only gives a phone number for people who are in Canada. Has anyone been able to make contact from outside Canada?

I know there is a contact no. for outside Canada but I have to check it in the CIC site.

Glad to hear that you've got a reply, BritishInKorea, and how it arrived (email from Seoul VO). Do you want to add yourself to the October 2012 spreadsheet? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlNNP-HCQMHZdDNGWE1wdGV6c1M3eXlReWJTTERIY0E#gid=0

I'm wondering how these are transmitted, if it's done via diplomatic bag then it can vary widely between different countries. Also, if you just miss a bag, it could take awhile before the next one ships.

I don't want to mess around with that lovely spreadsheet, so here are my details:

Meds Done: 10-10-2012
App Sent: 10-21-2012
App Rcvd: 10-23-2012
AOR 1: 11-10-2012
Stage 1 Approval: 11-12-2012
AOR 2: 12-04-2012

Visa Office: Seoul

If whoever is doing the spreadsheet wants to add me, that would be great.

Hi Mandy,

looking at the website, it seems they are currently working on apps received 31st october. It is rare that an AOR is sent upon receipt, instead it seems to be sent when the case is being worked. The sponser will receive the email and then you can expect a decision to be shortly after that (unless more information is required).

It was only after reciept of the AOR that I was able to log into the site (the AOR will include an ID number).

Aword of warning, if you are outside Canada, the actual decision will be sent snail mail economy. This can take 3 weeks normally but may be even longer with Christmas delays.

Hopefully you will get AOR by nest week.

I'm not the one who started it, but I like spreadsheets so I just added you in.

Thanks. Maybe it depends on which country you apply from? My Mum applied from the UK earlier this year and had her sponsorship approval by email.

Yes, I think so. My wife received AOR by email, we recieved approval by snail mail and I received AOR from visa office by email.
