Hello, I am new to the forum and I was wondering if anybody could provide me with a telephone number for outland apps to contact someone in the immigration office in Canada ? Thanks

I received and email from CIC to say they received my app on the 11th of October and I am now a little concerned as it has passed the 66 days, is this normal ???

Yes!!! my husband did not have to phone because my mother in law received a letter on wednesday saying that we are approved. Of course, she did not bother to call me. We write down his address because my husband was travelling with me quite often. We got it!!!! we got approved on the 19th of december. You guys are next. I am so excited. However, i do not know what the letter says. I guess all letters are different. When will they request the police certificates? Can anybody tell me what is next. I am so excited. Love to all

You should contact them, they are doing applications received before october 14th. The call center phone number is 1-888-242-2100 IF YOU ARE IN CANADA ONLY. If you are not, then you have to contact the visa office that should be dealing with your file.

How to contact CIC Within Canada:
CIC Call Centre:1-888-242-2100 (toll-free)
Hours of operation:
Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., your local time

That is if you call within Canada, and I'm not sure if you can call outside of Canada unless you have magicjack. And it is perfectly normal that you wait that long. Although I think they already sent you a mail with decision, if you can you can call them , just have ready your UCI no. Name, address and the rest of the info. Good luck!

Hi Octoberians , yesterday i got an Email from CPC Mississauga confirming that they have received my application on Oct 31st 2011
they give me my UCI and a file number
so i guess very soon by God's grace i will receive the approval to sponsor my wife.
But i have some few questions:
- my UCI number is the same as my permanent resident card number coincidence??
- the E-mail says : Dear (my name) we have received your application for permanent residence in Canada BUT i am sponsoring my wife ! i am already in Canada is this correct?
-those who have received an Email did u have the similar kind of E mail? did they address the E mail in your name (the sponsor ) or your spouse /partner ? since she/he is the one applying to permament residency?

I am asking all this because after reading the Email, i felt like if i was the one applying for permament residency

Well technically you are submitting a PR application for your spouse. This is what a portion of my email looked like;

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2011/10/07.

My UCI(unique client ID) # is also the same as when I had a pr card

You have nothing to worry about.

hello there guys happy holidays i hope i can join this forum. I sent our application last October 12, 2011 and it was recieved on October 13, 2011 at cpc-m via courrier(fed-ex) i used the physical address 2 robert speck parkway suite 1200. and as of December 21, 2011 they were processing October 14, 2011 applicants. and right now still waiting for my wife specially this holiday season i really missed her

Hi there i'm sponsoring my wife in the philippines, and i submitted our application for family class (spouse) october 12, 2011 and was recieved on october 13, 2011 via fedex courrier. but until now i still dont have any reply i checked cic online and they were processing october 14, 2011 as of dec 21, 2011. 2 months have passed already since i submitted our documents
