Some applications submitted on the 14th of October have been approved. I submitted mine at the end of October and i have today received acknowledgement. When did you submit yours? They might overlook the mistakes. Did you fill in the annual income?
yes i did. Then i do not know what is going on. I will have to phone them then. Getting nervous.

Yeah maybe you guys should call....but might end up irritating someone.... since the posted date is still october 6th, I say wait till they pass your date, like that they have no reason not to look into your file...

we will call. My husband called on friday and they told him our file has been opened (i guess they open them first then they review them for approval) and they gave him his UCI. He asked about the mistakes made and they told him to send a fax explaining the situation. We sent the fax on saturday. If they returned my application, will i have to wait another 2 months for it to be reviewed again? i read that when an application is consider incomplete they returned it to you and they do not give you a file number (i read that on the website. But a lot of people has said that their application was sent back with a file number, hoohohoho. confussing

They if they return your WHOLE application then yes, you have to start again, but if they are only asking for minor details, all depends on the processing officer....your file will be put on hold and the processing will continue ounce they get the info. you might loose a few weeks but not 2 months... :) Keep faith, I know its stressful.....I have a friend that sent hers on the 16th....hasnt heard anything yet...

thanks for answering. I hope things are ok. My husband and i have been away from each other for so long. Almost a year. We did not start the process right away because of personal issues. I saw him 2 months ago here in mexico. I just want to go back to my home. I miss my room, my house, my family. At least, my 17 month old son is with me. I hope we can get and answer soon, and hopefully i will not have to wait another 2 months if Hopefully we will be ok.

Congrats lucky rain!!!!

my ecas is updated this morning and it confirms that decision is made and that they mailed me a letter (snail mail I guess) , good luck to all of you, newlife I hope we hear from you soon

wow, saw a lot of approvals already. This is a great news :) Can i ask anyone if you have an idea of an average months to wait until we get our visa??? hehehe. Yeah, a bit excited about it but its more of planning what I can do these days while waiting. I can't have a long term plan or get a stable job while waiting for the visa, coz it would be in a disadvantage of an employer... they say, I will look into CIC timeline of my visa center, it says there I should wait for 10 months after the approval of the sponsorship, but my friends say...it will be 2 months more....so, what exactly is the average timeline? Any idea??? Thanks guys. Merry Christmas to everyone :)

1 day less... Atleast they moved to processing file receive on oct 14. I hope all octoberians who filed app and was received before oct 14 are all just waiting for the " approval" on their emails;)

I just received a confirmation email that our application was received on Oct 27th.

Just got a cheque from the government, doesn't happen too often!

I originally paid $150 for our daughter's portion as part of the the application total fee even though we already applied for her citizenship certificate; I was sure I didn't have to include her in the application, however, just didn't want to take the risk of CIC deciding otherwise that would mean a delay. Kind of forgot about the fee until now... They approved my sponsorship on the 14th and refunded me within 1 week, impressive! Hope they are also this efficient at the VOs.
